We get the "exciting" game of Buffalo/Detroit in my area.

Canadians don't have the right to complain. You can get Sunday Ticket on cable.

I guess this is a pretty heavy "college town hero" week, with what looks to be FIVE markets getting games that don't make much geographic sense. Kudos to the first person to figure out why the following markets are getting these games (arranged from least to most difficult):

Blacksburg VA (Giants-Falcons)
Birmingham AL (Bengals-Buccaneers)
Louisville KY (Giants-Falcons)
Anchorage AK (Bills-Lions)
Boise ID (Bengals-Buccaneers)

Please tell me if I am interpreting this wrong - instead of Carolina / Balt, DC will get Phil/NO? Because that would be absolute horseshit.

Hey, if it gives me an extra game (since I can pull in FOX45-HD in Baltimore OTA), I'm all for it.

The Eagles effect the Skins, so that's why FOX5 is airing that game.

So then I'm not wrong. Ridiculous.

It's not ridiculous. FOX5 is not required to show Ravens home games.

Where do you live? I live in Arlington and can pull in Baltimore OTA channels off my indoor antenna. You might be able to do the same with an antenna.

You need to invite me over

I just have a plasma monitor, not an HDTV. I know they aren't required to, but you'd think that given the proximity and how good the game will probably be, they would show it in the MD/DC area over the 7,000th Eagles game this season. I guess it's off to ESPN zone for me.

One thing I don't get about this, the FAQ page from gribblenation says "no games can air at the same time as a local team's home game on another network" but Fox appears to be airing games in Dallas, Tampa, Detroit, and Washington at 1:00pm despite the local team playing on CBS at that time. Why is that?

This week is an exception since there are no FOX late games due to their coverage of a baseball LCS game in that 4 pm ET slot.

The same exception applied to CBS in Week 1 when they aired the US Open Men's Final in the late timeslot.

Ah thanks for the info, that explains it.

It's a good thing there's a valid reason to deprive fans of a choice of games every other week. Imagine how horrible it would be if each network could air a doubleheader every week.

Well, on the bright side, both networks will be able to air a DH for the first time ever in Week 17 this season.

I always get Carolina every week so I'm always interested in the other game. Too bad it's Tennessee at Washington...in non-HD.

Yay, I get to watch my Dallas Cowboys in HD again this week.

Hopefully Bledsoe doesn't stink up the place.
