NFL Week 5 Network TV Maps and HD Coverage

CBS - 1 game

FOX - Early game

FOX - Late game

Maps courtesy:
http://www.gribblenation.net/nflmaps/

Note: The Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings game presently scheduled for 12:00 PM CT (1:00 PM ET) on Sunday, October 8; will move to Monday, October 9 at 7:30 PM CT (8:30 PM ET); if the Minnesota-Oakland playoff baseball series goes to a deciding fifth game (which would be played on Sunday afternoon). Should this change happen, television arrangements for Monday have not been announced. We will not know for certain until the conclusion of Game 4 (if necessary) on Saturday at the latest. The Fox distribution map this week will assume the game will be played on Sunday as scheduled. If the game is moved, all areas currently scheduled to receive Lions-Vikings will get the St. Louis Rams-Green Bay Packers game instead.

St. Louis at Green Bay and Kansas City at Arizona. The NFL hates Arizona.

Why would half of Michigan get the KC/AZ. game and not the BUF/CHI. game? They must not be concerned with ratings.

So it's apparent (this will the be the 3rd home game) that we don't get HD. A fucking $500 million dollar new stadium and we can't get HD? Bullshit!

It's CBS, they suck horribly. Baltimore-SD wasn't in HD so much much lesser games (any game involving that shitty Arizona team) probably won't get HD either.

Also why doesn't Fox show Dal-Phi in Arizona instead of a lame early game?

because Arizona is on CBS at the same time, blame the NFL's tv rules not the networks

And? Even people in Arizona don't care about the Cards. Put Arizona-KC and Dallas-Philly at the same time, see which one will have better ratings.

I agree but if a "local" team is on another network, then that area only gets the local game, retarded but what can you do?

Boycott the Cards and Cardinals broadcast? I mean, no one wants to watch losers anyway.

Yeah - only because this is one of the handful times they aren't on CBS.

That's not necessarily true. We've never had the ability to see them on TV before when they were at home.

I'm willing to bet you aren't even from AZ, so it would be pretty hard for you to speak for the residents of this state.

I definitely want the Cards game on TV, I'd just like to have at least 3 games during the day every Sunday.

2 games is something that will happen on occasion for many NFL cities. For NY and the SF Bay Area (with 2 area teams), it happens quite often.

It used to be worse - it used to be that if you're local team played at home, you would only get 2 games period, no matter which network had the DH that day. A few years ago they changed so that if network that broadcast the local team home game also has the DH, you get a early and late game on that network and the one game in one slot on the other network (not to compete with the local team game).

Yeah I went through the schedule a few weeks back and I think I counted 5 weeks where we're going to miss a game.

Can we take up a collection for CBS so they can buy a few new trucks and have all their games in HD?

But, if you have DirecTV you can work around that. Call up and request the Fox HD feed (if you have HD capability) and they almost always have at least 1 different game than our market.

That's if you don't have HD locals... I do, so NY/LA in HD.

Then again, I already shell out for the Superfan package, so it doesn't matter much.
