They're two of my faves, too.

Where do you think Sori plays next year?

Tough to tell. He might like Washington but he won't win there. I'm sure he'll be offered a lot by other teams. I could see the Red Sox and Mets making a push.

He'll be a met in a few months...which will be sweet. Then they can add a #1 by trading a top prospect + a mid level prospect, and then hopefully sign a #2 through free agency. Yeah...then they'd just need a 2B (lugo?) and they'll be set. Crazy good line up, solid SP, best bullpen in the league.

Maybe they'll go after Zito. He's going to want a lot though. Probably too much.

I see no way that Soriano stays in Washington. But that's just my opinion. Its interesting that the Yanks, Red Sox, and maybe Mets (depending on what they do with Milledge) have three starting OFs already for next year.

That's a lot of pitching to ask for in one offseason .

He should take the San Diego discount and play LF for the Padres. But then where would we play Dave Roberts?

I'm not high on Zito. Schmidt is an option; Willis would be great (though most likely not available). I know there isn't a huge amount of pitching available...but the mets have a surplus of nice young arms, but they they SP now.

Uuuhhhh... We'd have one. Who told you we'd force him to LF? With Sori at 2B that could be the greatest infield ever assembled. We could let Carlos and Lastings play without a LF with that infield. Or just keep Shawn Green right where he is and focus on pitching.
