For those in the US, ManU-Benfica is on ESPN2 right now, and Real Madrid-Dynamo Kyiv is on ESPN Classic tape delayed at 5EST.

Here in Canada, they showed the Real Madrid/Dynamo Kyiv with the Spanish feed which it was okay by me.
Spoiler:
No contest for Real. This was a rout.

TSN showed the ManU/Benfica match.

Tomorrow, TSN is showing live the Chelsea match while TLN will show the Inter match.

I know the feeling.I hate missing any CL games cuz its my favorite football tourney even over World Cup but i really need to get me either a dvr cable box or dvd player with a hard drive so i can see the matches.Wish TSN would be more consistent in times but of course they cater to baseball and soon to be hockey.

Oh and way to go Celtic and Real Madrid!

and go Liverpool!

Living in the past again. The only recent honor/trophy Liverpool has is a fraudulent 2005 CL title.

How many Premiership titles has Liverpool ever won? Answer: 1 less than Blackburn!

REVENGE! (for 2005, which was the year Liverpool/Steven Gerrard stole the CL from AC Milan, in case you didn't know.)

Liverpool fans, do you really trust Reina as your goalkeeper? http://youtube.com/watch?v=yBySZ6Hg9QE

Stole the cup from Milan? How so? Milan imploded as liverpool came into the ascendancy in the 2nd half, and your new boy schevchenko missed the pen.

Jesus Christ, I'm getting really tired of this EPL pissing contest in a CL thread. Over the past twenty seasons, the results stack up like this:

AC Milan - 4 titles
Real Madrid - 3
Barcelona - 2
FC Porto - 2

Nine other clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester United, have one title apiece. Chelsea have never won the European Cup nor the European Champions League. Liverpool's best days are a quarter century in the past. Now, for the love of God, will you guys please drop it??

Just a note - if you are watching the Chelsea-Levski Sofia on ESPN2 and plan to watch Barcelona-Werder Bremen game later on ESPN Classic - put something like black masking tape across the bottom of the screen so it covers the ESPN2 bottom line. Why? ESPN2's bottom line has been scoring scores of all the UEFA CL games including the game thats going to be shown later on ESPN Classic.

Of course that may not work out especially if the people who ESPN2 gets their video from decides to show the stadiums videoboard which at that very moment has the current scores of all the UEFA CL games posted. This happened just before the second half of the Benfica-Manchester United game yesterday. Not only giving us an update of the Real Madrid-Dynamo Kyiv game (which ESPN Classic was showing at 5:00 pm ET) but also the Arsenal-Porto game which during the first half, the announcers (Rae/Smith) were warning people to look away from the screen from (as they were giving updates) since that game was going be shown after Benifica-Manchester United ends on channels like ESPN International. OPPS!

Since I'm a FC Barcelona fan - I'm just going to watch that game on ESPN Classic at 5:00 pm ET. (I'm not going to be home to watch it LIVE on ESPN Deportes at 2:30 pm ET.) Yes, I'll be doing the tape on the bottom of the screen - just in case ESPN Classic shows all the UEFA CL scores including FC Barcelonas. Yeah I could avoid that by taping the game on ESPN Deportes but I rather watch the game in English than in Spanish so its ESPN Classic for me!

Go FC Barcelona!

Since these 4 sides are all in the same group, the bottom of the screen is the least of your worries, at least during the Chel$ki match. Fortunately they usually give warning before they show the scores from the other group matches, but not always.

wenders, you do understand why the english teams haven't won as much in hte last 20 years yes? Only for Heysel those stats you posted would be a heck of a lot different.

for liverpool today
Crouch and Kuyt up front.
Garcia, Gerrard, Alonso, Pennant
aurelio , agger,carragher finnan
Reina in goal

They would probably be different. English clubs were very strong in Europe during the late 70s and early 80s. Assuming a world where Heysel had not happened, I can make three statements with fairly strong confidence:

1. Liverpool may have won another couple of European Cups, probably at the expense of some club like Steaua Bucharest or Red Star.

2. Manchester United almost certainly would not have won any more European trophies, as their contemporary golden era didn't begin until Cantona joined their squad ('92 or '93, I believe?)1

3. Chelsea would still be nonentities in terms of UEFA competitions.

1 In fact, paradoxically, Cantona might never have joined Man Utd in this alternate universe, since, had English football not taken such a hit, neither Leeds United nor Manchester United might have felt compelled to take a risk on such an unreliable and flaky French footballer. They might have instead cast their lots with players such as Papin or Hagi.

As a Chelsea fan, he's probably making two arguments:

1. That Luis Garcia's goal in the second leg of the semi-final wasn't a goal. Which ignores the fact that a) It was a goal, and b) even if it wasn't a goal, it should've been a penalty and a red card

or

2. That Gerrard dived to get the penalty that tied it up against Milan. Which ignores the fact that... well, it was a pretty blatant penalty.

Subscribing to Sky's theory that the Football League was founded in 1991 I see.
