Who should I start week 1: Bulger v. Denver or Rivers @ Oakland? Normally Bulger gets the nod every week until Rivers proves something, but that Oakland D is tempting to pick on.

The Oakland D will be picked on, but it will be by LT. I'd go with Bulger until Rivers proves himself.

I liked my team to begin with, but with Carson Palmer back to form, I'm really liking my team. I'll be looking to see if Edge can run behind that Cards line and to see if Roy Williams finally steps up this year and becomes a pro bowl receiver.

My QB options for Week 1 are Brady @ home vs Bills or Warner @ home vs 49er's. Brady will probably start most weeks but with the WR situation in NE and the favorable matchup Arizona has I'm leaning toward Warner. Any thoughts?

Ok...here are my decisions:

B. Roethlisberger (Pit - QB) vs. MIA OR M. Hasselbeck (Sea - QB) @ Det

I need 2 more WR and 1 Flex from this: (my picks are in italics)

R. Brown (Phi - WR) @ Hou
L. Coles (NYJ - WR) @ Tenn
A. Toomer (NYG - WR) vs IND
I. Bruce (StL - WR) vs DEN
J. Jurevicius (Cle - WR) vs NO
Ma. Clayton (Bal - WR) @ TB
C. Brown (Ten - RB) vs NYJ
C. Taylor (Min - RB) @ Wash
L. White (Ten - RB) vs NYJ

I'd start Hasselbeck over Roethlisberger, but it's tight. I might consider moving C. Taylor into your lineup depending on how the league is scored. Taylor is the starter in Minnesota and may have better numbers than some of those receivers. If I was going to sit one of your picks it would probably be Toomer.

I'm not playing you, so I'll give good advice.

Hasselback.

Week 1 is always a gamble, craziness abounds.

I think the NYJ-TEN game is going to be low scoring and full of ugliness.

Somebody wants to make this deal with me:

They get Carson Palmer, Jerry Porter and Jerramy Stevens.
I get Jake Delhomme, Hines Ward and Deuce McAllister.

Palmer looks good, but I'm scared about his longevity. Delhomme is obviously a downgrade, but Hines Ward is a big upgrade from Jerry Porter. I'm stacked at TE, so I don't really mind letting Stevens go.

That was the last switch I made. I'm still debating who to play.

If you have a decent tight end i would make that deal. Jake has a lot of weapons and will have a good year. The upgrade to Hines Ward makes it a no brainer for me.

I say go with hasselback,R brown, coles and use chester as your flex, way better than your other choices. he is being looked at as a solid #2 Rb so as a flex he is great.

i wouldn't do this. i love Palmer (i'm a bengals fan) and while he looked really good against the packers, i'm not 100% sold, in terms of fantasy football. but i'd want him over delhomme. Ward is better than Porter, but i'd hope you have one or two WR that are much better than Porter. Mcallister is a small risk with reggie bush sitting behind him. I think, from what i've heard, Bush will get carries. If you're stacked (? ...more than two good TE?) at TE maybe counter offer your TE who is better than Stevens and Porter for Ward.

Just my gut, but i think the heart of this trade is that the other guy wants Palmer bad. factor that in.

no way I'd deal Carson. I have him and glad I do. His knee looks healthy and he has a helluva lot better weapons than Delhomme. They are not even in the same class in terms of QB's. Jerry Porter will get plenty of playing time, especially now since the Raiders just traded away Doug Gabriel. They'll be behind in most games so they'll be throwing alot.

Not sure where to put this, but this seems like a good place:

News: Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had an emergency appendectomy after becoming ill before practice on Sunday and will miss Thursday's NFL season opener against Miami. Coach Bill Cowher said Roethlisberger will be evaluated each week, and he was not certain how long the quarterback will be out.

Big Ben is my starting QB.

Now I have a choice. Mark Brunell or Philip Rivers. Guess i'm gonna go with Mark Brunell.

Now my other decision. Who to start. Donte Stallworth, Keyshawn Johnson, Joe Jurevicious, or Keenan McCardell

1 pt/10 yards receiving, .5 pts per reception, 2.5 pt bonus for 100 yards receiving

i say go with keyshawn and if stallworth is going to play i would pick him otherwise go with McCardell.

I have my own question. I have Big Ben and Drew Brees. Anyone know how long Big Ben is going to be out? Am I safe with Brees or do i need to make a move. The free agent list of qb's is horrible, best option is Brunell and JP losman.

WHO DEY!!!!

anyhow, i have a blessing and a curse rolled into one... we play in an 8 team league and start 2 RB's, pick 2 of these.... 1 pt 10 yards rushing, 6 pt's TD's, 1 pt rec....

rudy johnson vs chiefs
stephen jackson vs bronchos
willis mcgahee vs pats
julious jones vs jags
cadillac williams vs ravens
fred taylor vs cowboys
(also have carolina's d. williams in hopes for him coming on if foster goes down later...)

i am leaning towards rudi johnson and stephen jackson, but i think that cadillac williams will be great this year, but ravens are brutal to run against.... suggestions??

Question:

Ahman Green vs. Bears
Travis Henry vs. Jets
Derrick Blaylock @ Titans

Who's the better start?

So with the Portis injury, I'm more than a little concerned about week 1... especially because I picked up Duckett and not Betts (I couldn't justify having three backs from the same team).

I have to pick two RBs. Chester Taylor vs. Was is my best back right now, with Portis out. The only other backs I have are:

Lendale White (NYJ)
TJ Duckett (Minn)
B Jacobs (Ind)

I'm thinking Duckett... even if he doesn't start, I'm hoping he gets some goal line carries. Of the backs on the waiver wire, C. Houston or V. Haynes is probably the best I can hope for.
