I was watching the YES network last night and it occured to me that Al Lieter sounds like he's doing the games at gunpoint. I remember him on FOX during the playoffs being the only decent broadcaster in the booth. I watched two Yankee games this week and he is almost confrontational with the play by play guy (who sucks IMO). Does Lieter do all the games? Is he always this way? Does he hate the play by play guy?

It makes for a very dull broadcast.

Hadn't noticed that as a rule. I really like some of the newer players-turned-color guys. Paul O'Neill is pretty good, too. You know, they say things that actually are insightful or interesting, like someone who played the game and can put themselves in the shoes of the players (for some odd reason).

I watched the game muted last night, so no idea.

The only reason the commentary on the YES network is listenable is because of Al Leiter and Paul O'Neill. Michael Kay is a complete idiot.

Andruw Jones just hit a two run shot for Atlanta, and he hit the ball so hard that he stumbled on his way out of the box.

Freakin' Yankees lineup without Matsui, Sheffield, Damon, and Cano reminds me of the Cubs. Pathetic.

That sucked. I was more worried about Thome and Konerko. Dye is really playing out of his mind this year.

Yeah, me too. After Konerko flied out. I made some stupid comments in the quick reply box. Something about a 4 game lead with a couple of derogatory remarks about Contreras.

Timlin coming in with inherited runners is not good. Although the options were pretty limited.

Wow, terrible baserunning by the White Sox.

Shocking news: Mark Prior to miss a start and Kerry Wood done for the year.

I hope the 3 Cubs wins in a row doesn't save Dusty's job during the break.

That was the worst baserunning play I've EVER seen by the CWS. They screwed up at least 3 or 4 things on that one play.
