NCAA statutes prohibit student-athletes or their families from receiving extra benefits from professional sports agents, marketing companies or their representatives. A breach of these statutes could result in an athlete being ruled ineligible, and games in which they played could be forfeited.

Good thing no one investigated while Bush was actually living there and playing NCAA ball. How long before someone looks into Matt with his body gaurds and his second, larger insurance policy, in 2012?

Who cares about this? If true, it just means that while USC and the TV networks were making bank off of him, he tried to get a little back.
Something tells me he'll still be drafted #1.

I'm just hoping this somehow results in a OU being declared the winner of 2004 Championship game so I can finally wear that Oklahoma 2004 Orange Bowl Champions t-shirt I bought.

If USC looses their Rose Bowl money, I would like to see a precedent where they successfully sue Michaels, and possibly Bush and get their lost money back. Makes those responsible pay and they might not do it again.

You mean second quarterback - looks like Mark Sanchez was just arrested today for sexual assault. Is USC imploding or something? Looks like Winston Justice is also being implicated in the New Era/Bush quagmire - going to get a whole lot worse for USC before it gets better, IMO.
