I hope Lockdown and the move to Thursdays helps shake TNA up. I said it a few other times that Lockdown somehow managed to lose a lot of steam with me over the past few Impacts. I'm still on the fence about the purchase, but I think they don't need a total product overhaul, but they do need something that jumps out. I know that Sting and his program are what they're building around now, but I think they need something more.
My own preference would be to pull a WWe-New Year's Revolution style PPV ending with Samoa Joe challenging Christian after his title match and just pounding Cage and taking the title. They've already got a built in reason with "the new guy" coming in and making an immediate impact and that builds a championship Joe-Christian feud that would be on par with Sting's angle. That would leave the X-Division title vacant and set up a badass tournament that could go for a month or two. Between Joe/Christian, Sting/Jarrett, X-Division Tournament, and 3D/AMW (not my cup o' tea, but I know it's their money feud) there's 4 solid angles to work with without shoving the James Gang/LAX down everyone's throat. Those angles also can weave other big names like Abyss and Monty Brown in without much adjustment.

Not that I expect that to happen, but what I'm really pushing for here is a lack of crap. Just put stuff on during the limited time you have that grabs interest so that you not only keep your base content, but nothing sucks and pushes them away.

Two new matches just announced for LOCKDOWN

Christopher Daniels vs "Mystery Opponent"

X-Division "X-scape" Match
Chris Sabin vs. “Primetime” Elix Skipper vs. Petey Williams vs. Shark Boy vs. Chase Stevens vs. Puma
The six stars involved will battle it out elimination style until two fighters remain – at which point the winner is determined by whoever escapes the steel cage first!

Looking at the xscape match I hope it's for the number one contender. With Sabin's booking he's strong enough to win that. In the past few months he had Abyss up for a cradle shock then ate a superkick from Bently and lost the match, and he got a long two count on Jarrett befor taking a stroke from the second rope for a loss. Sabin and Joe had an awesome match before and if he gets the title match, almost wins then Joe snaps and gets a dq. Next show Sabin wins the title and there's a new blood in the title hunt. Even better, move Joe and Styles up the the heavyweight and make the new top three (x-division always works with three) Sabin, Daniels and either Shelly or Aries or Strong.

As for Daniels mystery opponent...for some reason I think it's Super Dragon. I think he would fit in with TNA, he's good and can have awesome matches, but he can also be very spotty.

I'm not the biggest TNA fan, nor do I claim to be. I watch this product weekly hoping it gets better so it can be a viable competitor to the E.

But here in the past month or so, TNA just hasn't interested me whatsoever.

Ditto. I haven't watched it in the last couple of months, but I am trying to get into it again.

What happened with the Raven/Larry Z storyline? Is it over? What about the Jackie Gayda/Jarrett? Can someone give me a quick recap as to how they ended (assuming that they did)?

It's funny you bring up the Raven/Larry Z storyline because they seemed to have forgotton it until this past Impact show which "Slick" Johnson made a reference to a new head management figure in TNA and said something about Raven too, which then set Larry Z off in the TNA office.

As for the Jackie/Jarrett, who's knows? Maybe they will bring it up....who knows

the basic thing with the Jarrett / Jackie storyline from what I understand is Jarrett got Jackie a job with TNA, but only if she does whatever Jarrett, Gail Kim and America's Most Wanted asks of her, so she has to whatever they say even tho she hates them.

Kind of a bleh show leading into the PPV. It's really annoying that they keep having an all out brawl between everyone on the PPV card at the end of each Impact preceding the PPV.

I thought they were blackmailing her into working for them with some kind of tape.

I remembered that was the case. She had something on Jarrett (which implied was connected to Larry Z too) but then Alex Shelly got dirt on her which Jarrett on the gang to blackmail her to "join" his group. That's how its been ever since....

Daniels / Ki was a show stealer, although not as good as what we've seen out of them in Ring of Honor. They were talking about Ki as if he's back in TNA under contract, not as a one-off appearance. If so, that'll really help their show.

That match and the tag one before it were both severely hindered by the cage.

Joe / Sabu was way too short, I'm assuming because of Sabu's arm.
