Don't blame me because Liverpool didn't have enough sense to keep Robbie Fowler.

I love Robbie, but he hasn't been a good player for a while now, unfortunately. Now, ask me about the fact that we decided to buy El Hadji Diouf instead of keeping Anelka after the 2002 season, or the fact that we let the last window end without adding an extra striker, right midfielder, and centre defenceman...

Dear wendersfan,

Why is Grimsby missing from the table? I assume they must be near the top, since they knocked the mighty Tottenham Hotspur out of the Carling Cup.

Sincerely,

A concerned Arsenal fan

Arsene Wenger, dumbass

Wenger calls for more points for goals

LONDON, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has called on the Premier League to offer extra points to encourage more attacking football.

Wenger's suggestion comes amid concerns that the English top flight is losing its lustre, reflected in fewer goals and a dip in attendances.

"What could work is awarding points on the basis of the difference between the goals you score and the goals you concede," Wenger was quoted as telling Sunday newspaper The News of the World.

"You could get an extra point if there is a difference of three, like 3-0 or 5-2.

"That might encourage teams to keep on attacking when they have the lead. There would be an incentive."

The Frenchman, whose brand of attacking football has brought Arsenal seven Premier League and FA Cup trophies since he moved to north London in 1996, also took a historical perspective.

"It is difficult to impose new rules but the intention should always be to win," he said.

"The most successful teams have always been attacking ones. Brazil have won more World Cups than anyone and Real Madrid more European trophies -- both of them always play to win."

English football switched from two points to three points for a win in 1981, while a different experiment in France was less successful.

"In France some years ago we had a system where a team that scored three got an extra point and it didn't really work," Wenger said.

"It was wrong that you could lose a game 5-3 but get the same reward as a 3-3 draw. The experiment was dropped."

Bookmakers Paddy Power are going to pay out to all punters who've bet on Chelsea to win the title. They feel that there's no way Chelsea can lose.
