Since not being traded Manny is 3 for 5 with 1 HR and 5 RBI. Can't say the same for Aubry Huff and Mike Cameron.

The Indians/Yankees game is the ESPN game tonight? I guess they changed it at the last minute, up until a couple days ago it was being touted around here that the Nats/Dodgers game was going to be the national game tonight. Guess with the Nats recent slide ESPN went with another matchup.

Indians vs. Yankees is the best series goin right now in the AL. Both teams going for the wild card. Both teams playing well as of the last week or so. Lee vs. Mussina is a huge matchup. It's no wonder ESPN took them.

Rafael Palmeiro's positive drug test involved the potent anabolic steroid stanozolol, a person in baseball with direct knowledge of the sport's drug-testing program said. Stanozolol does not come in dietary supplements and is among the most popular steroids on the market.
-- New York Times

Steroid experts tell baseball officials stanozolol almost assuredly did not enter Rafael Palmeiro by way of accident or sabotage.
-- Newsday

An anti-doping psychologist said Rafael Palmeiro's claim that he inadvertently took a contaminated dietary supplement sounds like "the dog ate my homework."
-- New York Daily News

Rafael Palmeiro chased historic hit No. 3,000 with the knowledge that he had failed a drug test.
-- Baltimore Sun

The secrecy and intricacies of MLB's drug-testing protocol--from multiple testing to a lengthy appeal process -- allowed 2 1/2 months to pass between Rafael Palmeiro's positive test and his suspension.
-- Chicago Tribune

When Rafael Palmeiro was starting out with the Chicago Cubs, he seemed more likely to become the next Wade Boggs than to pass Reggie Jackson on the all-time home run list.
-- Baltimore Sun

As Rafael Palmeiro approached his 3,000th hit, MLB officials knew they were stuck. "What was amazing is that it never got out," a source said.
-- New York Daily News

Jose Canseco closed a deal to publish a second book, which will have more revelations on steroid use. Canseco also is talking to NBC about a role in a proposed sitcom.
-- Miami Herald

Mariners pitcher Ryan Franklin asserted there "must be a flaw" in Major League Baseball's steroids testing.
-- Seattle Post-Intelligencer

Yankees' Jason Giambi was not pleased that his name is once again being linked with the banned substance by some sports talk radio hosts and fans.
-- Newsday

Joe Torre said that Rafael Palmeiro's steroids suspension "throws a monkey wrench" into his Hall of Fame candidacy, but Jason Giambi and Mike Mussina said Palmeiro's legacy should not be diminished.
-- Newark Star-Ledger

The Yankees decided not to pick up outfielder Bernie Williams' $15 million option for 2006.
-- New York Journal News

Giants officials do not know what to make of Barry Bonds' prediction that he is done for 2005.
-- San Francisco Chronicle

Although impending free agent A.J. Burnett wasn't traded, sources close to him reiterate it's unlikely he will re-sign with the Marlins because of finances.
-- Miami Herald

The players the Twins tried to trade to the Rangers for Alfonso Soriano were Kyle Lohse, J.C. Romero and Bret Boone.
-- St. Paul Pioneer Press

Jamie Moyer will miss this week's scheduled start against the Tigers due to a stiff lower back.
-- Seattle Post-Intelligencer

Kerry Wood, who is rehabbing with Class A Peoria, faced four Kane County batters Tuesday night in Peoria and struck out three.
-- Daily Southtown

Diamondbacks general partner Jeff Moorad plans to meet with special assistant Bob Gebhard today to discuss his role following the departure of Joe Garagiola Jr. as general manager.

They should call it "Juiced", or "I Wanna be a Baller!"

Manny is out of the game.

Earlier, he hit his 30th HR and drove in his 100th RBI.

Hopefully he is ok...Man, this season looks like the Sox of old, finding new ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Sox up 8-5 After 7 and a half, Schilling warming in the pen.

Yanks down 7-4 in the 8th. Mussina gives up 6 runs in the 6th inning.
