Not completely, the White Sox are playing.

I'd like to see Buehrle get back on track for the sweep.

I was aware the White Sox are playing.

I'd like to see Buehrle get on track, too. At least for today, anyway.

From Sandburgs HOF speech...

''If this validates anything, it's that I learned how to bunt and hit-and-run and that turning two is more important than knowing where to find the little red light on the dugout camera.''

The crowd roared with that last shot.

Asked later if he had any particular person in mind, Sandberg said with a smile: ''Who did you have in mind?''

Wonder what a certain Oriole thinks of this comment?

And the joke....

'It reminds me of the guy walking down the beach. He finds a bottle, pops the cork and a genie comes out to grant him one wish,'' Sandberg began. ''The guy says, 'My wish is for peace between the Israelis and Palestinians. Here's a map of the Middle East.' The genie takes the map, studies it for hours and hours. Finally, he gives it back to the guy and says, 'Is there anything else you want to wish for? This is impossible.' The guy says, 'Well, I always wanted to see the Cubs in the World Series.' The genie looks at him, reaches out and says, 'Let me have another look at that map.' ''

WFAN is supposedly reporting that Rafael Palmeiro has violated the league's substance abuse policy, possibly for steriods. I have not heard this first hand yet, but it reportedly will be announced by MLB within the hour.

Ruh roh. Not such a great time for this since he just cleared 3k hits and there's been that debate about HOF or no HOF for him.

At the HOF induction ceremonies, didn't there used to be a person, chosen by the inductee, that gives an introductory speech? I seem to remember it that way, but yesterday when I watched it, it was stupid Selig introducing Ryno and Boggs.

WEEI: Baltimore writer says a "major player" for the Orioles will be sanctioned for testing positive for steroids. He does not know that it is Palmeiro.

The NL West is looking good! Maybe who ever wins that section will be able to reach 500 by the end of the season.

I've been grinning since I heard Sandburg's speech yesterday and Flashback's excerpt reminded me of one of the reasons why.

THIS IS BULLSHIT!!! Mark Buehrle got kicked out of a game without a warning for hitting BJ Surhoff AFTER two white sox got hit in consecutive days (Pierzynski today, Iguchi yesterday). The ump just ended his consecutive streak of pitching at least 6 innings for 49 consecutive starts.

Damn, I'm listening on the radio, and Rooney is pissed off too. I'm going to have to watch the replay tonight. Is it on Comcast?

The worst part is that Vizcaino can't be trusted with a one run lead.

Next season on Penn & Teller...

Crap! Ozzie's bringing in Vizcaino in a close game!

hudson pitched out of it

walk, error, hit batter.. loaded the bases with 1 out and J. Bay coming up.. and hudson got the next 2 out without giving up a run
although the braves still trail 1-0

Yeah, on comcast

So far he's called him an idiot, inept, said everyone else in the ballpark knew what was going on except him, he has no common sense, and he wants him fined

This is the most upset I've heard him since a game at Fenway 2 or 3 years ago when the ump was giving Pedro about a foot off the plate.

Now he's got a book out trying to find out how long this guy has been in the majors

that's awesome. I'm going to have to DVR the 6th inning. Buehrle should have waited 'till the 7th to plunk an Oriole. The worst thing the Sox can do to them anyway is sweep them.

Yeah, I'm going to have to VCR the 6th inning. Angry and livid Hawk = funny Hawk.

oh, and Pierzynski with a solo home-run at the top of the 8th. 4-1 pale hose on top.
