Can't get the schedules today, because I'm at my grandmother's house in DC and she runs a version of Internet Explorer that pre-dates the ability to load that page correctly.

However, I am taking her to the Nationals-Astros game this afternoon for her 81st birthday. She was a huge Senators fan back in the day, and is now a Nats fan. Should be a good time.

You know, I don't even really think my grandma cares if the nationals win or lose most games, she just likes having baseball back in her hometown.

Twins to start off the top of the first:

- Stewart singled to left center.
- Boone grounded into double play third to second to first, Stewart out at second.

why on earth are they even playing in chicago today? It's 100+ degrees right now....even more puzzling, who in their right mind would go to a game and sit in the friggin sun for 3 hours on a day like this?

Announcer doing the Yankee/Angels game on YES network just implicated the wrong Rivera (Juan) of being the guy who stole Jeter's glove out of the Yankee clubhouse back in 02. It was actually Ruben Rivera.

The mistake was caught and he later retracted his statement. But for anyone not knowing the story or not hearing the retraction, the damage was done.
I wonder how many people now think Juan is a weasel?

Edit: IIRC he took a bat too.

Houston finally breaks out in the 14th with a 3-run HR. Please end this, Lidge.

Whew! We finally pulled it through. Too bad the Mets and Phillies won today also. I think the Nationals are done. From here on out, it's going to be downward spiral to mediocrity for them. The stros need to watch out for the phillies. That's the team I am worried about right now.

From watching the Sawx vs. the Sox game on WGN I've learned something about White Sox fans from the crowd shots they show.

In order to get into the ball park they are evidently required to be 30-40 lbs. overweight, tattoo'd, or both.

Anyways...go W Sox, the Yankees need the help.

Except for that one leggy gal sitting at an outfield table who was VERY noticable on that play early on in the RF corner when the ball bounce off the tip of Trot's glove......
