Women's Tennis on Television

I have the Williams/Sharapova match in the other room, and it sounds like someone is getting repeatedly stabbed in one second intervals. It's quite distracting.

i can't believe williams won, both sisters are very classless, especially when talking about their opponent.

What exaclty did they say that was that you thought was classless? I never heard them say anything negative about an opponent. Well I heard them say they were treated badly being the only black girls but that wasn't toward any particular opponent.

i can't believe you even asker, a couple of years ago when serena lost in a grand slam she kept insisting that she played pretty badly without giving an ounce of credit to her opponent, plus i remember their dad made a rude comment about jennifer cap,. should listen to her dad or something, and jennifer took it very personally. it was well covered a few years ago, i am sorry but they are very classless sisters and give tennis a bad name

Not to mention that Venus made a complete fool of herself after she won the title. I don't mind a dislpay of joy and jumping up and down for a minute or two but she basically kept it up and acted like a gigly 12 y/o throughout the entire ceremony. No class whatsoever.

I can't stand her, but that was not "classless". She friggin won at Wimbledon! (and is not that highly rated)

It didn't even seem genuine. She seemed to me like she was acting how someone who was excited would act. Not sure why, but that is how it looked.

So what you think she didn't really care about winning it? What would be the point of pretending to enjoy winning a match?

I do think she enjoyed winning. But her celebration looked more like a stage show than anything that was real. I'm not sure why, but that is how it looked to me. Her celebration on the point before the winner looked 1000 times more genuine to me. And once she won, she was real calm for about 30 seconds after winning and then launched into the spectacle. The whole thing was just odd.
