Top 10 All Time NFL Draft Prospects

If every NFL player ever was coming out the same year, who would go in the top 10? You can't use hindsight, so Ryan Leaf would probably go ahead of Joe Montana, and don't forget about the USFL. My top 10:
1. John Elway
2. Steve Young
3. O.J. Simpson
4. Terry Bradshaw
5. Drew Bledsoe
6. Jeff George
7. Michael Vick
8. Herchel Walker
9. Steve Bartkowski
10. Tim Couch

Herschel Walker is #1 in my opinion. He was ready to go after his freshman year.

Also, why do you only have skill-position players on the list?

QBs tend to go #1, I think they'd dominate the all time prospects. A few RBs and a few pass rushers are the only guys I think would place on a list; certainly no WRs or DBs. Elway and Young in terms of size and athleticism should be locks for the top 2 in some order.

I'm not following this one. What exactly makes a "Draft Prospect"? I mean, technically, almost all players are drafted and, therefore, draft prospects as teams considering which players to take. Are we saying only the top 10 picks each year are to be considered "top" or can it really be any player that was drafted?

It can be anybody drafted by any league, but if they were a great prospect they'd probably go top 2 in their respective draft.

Elway is definitely #1, he was the best prospect to ever come out of college. Not sure about the other 9, give me some time.
