Let's see if he makes it back to Miami on the x-country road trip first, shall we?

I will take him on the second last round or the final one.

Doesn't make sense in taking him earlier than that since we don't know what kind of football shape he's in.

Yeah, I am not going to take him until we see what he does. If he looks like he's in great shape and performing well, he can become a number 3 or 4 (out of 4) RB in my league which would make him a late round draft. Keep in mind, this year the RB position seems heavily saturated.

i guess its also an unfair question, because it depends on how big the league is
if you're in a 5 person league.. noone is going to take him
if you're in a 15 person league... he might go earlier

Im just curious what the earliest people are considering taking a gamble on him
especially with Ronnie heading to miami. I doubt he will need much time before being tossed into the starting role

If I was hurting for RB's I would take a stab on him in one of the later rounds but other than that I would rather go wrong on somebody else.

In an open draft, Ricky is 4th or 5th round tops. Tons of RBs out there with as much or more upside and less risk.

But in a keeper league with a lot of teams, I'd probably take him pretty high...possibly even first round depending on the scoring system and how deep the draft is. In a yardage league, he's gold. In a scoring/receptions league, less so. He doesn't really catch a lot of passes (but then in Miami, who does?) and he's only good for about 1 score per game.

I guess what I'm saying is that he has a lot of upside and is worth the risk if you're in a keeper league with a shallow draft...and that's assuming he was ever even waived. If nothing else, you could pick him up and hope for him to be traded. Worked for me with Corey Dillon the year before last. Dillon served as a terrific #2 back for me, and I got him dirt cheap.
