This is what Randy Johnson said about last nights stupid outing:

"I took a giant step backward," Johnson said. "My location was off considerably. It was just one of those games you put to bed."

I am a true yankee fan but fu$king sh!t, he says that everytime. Freaking fix that problem already and get back to being freaking dominant...

You freaking get a No hitter on a sucky team and you cant even hold three innings to the worst team in the AL....

Prior nears return to hill
`Pleased' with effort in simulated game; on track for Sox start

By Fred Mitchell
Tribune staff reporter
Published June 22, 2005

MILWAUKEE -- Mark Prior threw 74 pitches in five-plus innings of a simulated game Tuesday afternoon at Miller Park and appears ready to start Sunday's game against the White Sox, pending the condition of his arm Wednesday morning.

"It went well," said Prior, who pitched to Jason DuBois and Jose Macias while manager Dusty Baker and pitching coach Larry Rothschild observed.

Macias tested Prior's fielding ability off the mound by placing bunts down the third-base line. Prior fanned DuBois twice and gave up a total of four singles. DuBois lined one ball just over Prior's head.

"I got my pitch count up a little bit. I made some plays and had some balls come back at me," said Prior, who suffered a compressed fracture of his right elbow when a line drive hit him May 27.

He mixed in an assortment of fastballs, breaking pitches and changeups throughout the workout.

Prior, who threw 60 pitches in a simulated game in New York last Friday, said he has no plans to wear padding to protect the injured area.

"Injuries are part of it and I am going to get hit," he said. "And, yeah, balls come back at you. Hopefully, the chances of me getting hit in the same spot are slim. I'm not going to think twice about it. If I get hit again, or if I get brushed back . . . I enjoy the game too much to give it up."

Baker and Rothschild expressed satisfaction with what they saw in the simulated game.

"I thought he did real well," Rothschild said. " . . . He started throwing 10 or 12 days after [the injury] happened. I think his stamina needs to be built up, obviously. But his arm speed seems to be fine."

Baker said Prior would be limited to an undisclosed pitch count when he returns to active duty.

Asked if he feels confident he will be able to pitch against the White Sox on Sunday, Prior replied: "We'll see how it goes; we'll see how I feel [Wednesday]. I felt like I threw the ball pretty well for the most part. It was a positive workout.

"From being on the ground [May 27] considering that it could possibly be a career- to season-ending injury to being back throwing in less than a month . . . obviously I'm very pleased."

How many times has this happened on the same day?

* Baylor vs. Texas in the College World Series

* Former Baylor pitcher vs. former Texas pitcher in an MLB game

That fucker is either really good or horrible, w/ a tendency towards the latter.

It would be nice if the guys not named Carpenter or Morris would actually give this team a chance to win.

He must be taking night classes at the Randy Johnson school for pitching.

Aubrey Huff of the Devil Rays left the game in the bottom of the 5th inning due to an apparent knee injury, he was replaced by Damon Hollins.

The Devil Rays take a 5-3 lead. Chalk it up as a win for TB. It would be almost impossible for the Yankees to overcome a deficit this large.

That's the problem. He already did fire most of the scouts. Georgie now calls a lot of the shots himself. Who else would give Jaret Wright $25 million dollars.
