just 33 more for 600
while mays is most likely out of his reach, unless he REALLY extends his career

making it into the 3000/600 club would be huge
assuming he only hits 8 more this year.. if he plays another season, i would think he could get 25.

Has he even talked about playing next year? Or has even retirement been mentioned? I don't know how long he's signed on for, but he's a bargain at $3 million. He's obviously still capable of a 25-80 season.

But he does turn 41 before the season ends...

And that's precisely why I like him so much. Hard worker who doesn't try and go out and be the center of attention. I'd love to see him go in as a Ranger, but I'm guessing the O's get him. Definitely the epitome of class, particularly with the whole Canseco thing.

5 Frank Robinson 586
6 Sammy Sosa 584
7 Mark McGwire 583
8 Harmon Killebrew 573
9 Rafael Palmeiro 567

Yea, but dispite his home runs, he is not your typical power hitter (IMHO). That swing is so natural, smooth and sweet. I don't see him just "loosing it". Wasn't he on some streak, like the longer to have 25 HR's every year or something?

Oh, found it, he had 9 seasons of at least 35 HR's! Pretty impressive.

Add on maybe 15 HRs to Sammy Sosa's current total and that's where he'll end up, that guy is sooooo done.

I see Raffy playing another season, so he should end up 6th all time, right behind Sosa, who will probably end his career at 5th all time with 620~630 HRs.

Sosa may very well be reading this thread. Right after twikoff at him for taking a month between HR, he's been hitting 'em every 3 days.
