An angry letter to Vince Mcmahon

This is some funny stuff

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

OPEN LETTER TO VINCE MCMAHON FROM AN ANGRY FAN
By: Jeff Lorenc
6/15/2005 9:50:51 AM

My name is Jeff Lorenc, I am writing an open letter to Vince McMahon and the WWE. Last night I attended the RAW show in Binghamton NY. I had 5th row on the floor (First row of risers on the floor). I was all over TV with my pink shirt and my signs. However, I felt violated as an American last night. I made signs that said "RUCK CENA" (The Cena shirt that says RUCK FULES) and "WE CAN'T SEE CENA... THANK GOD!". You could see these during the match. After the first commercial break sometime if you have RAW video taped, the signs disappear. I had a WWE guy wearing a RAW polo shirt walk by and without even looking at me or stopping literally rip the signs out of my hand and said "I'll be taking these". Everyone in my section was stunned as to why WWE would take these signs. Me now P.O.'ed decided to voice my opinion about how Triple H is hogging all the time on RAW and held up my "PUSH HHH" sign, knowing they would take it. That can be seen on camera. After the first commercial break before Tomko gets tagged in, you can see me jump off the bleachers. The WWE guy again ripped the sign out of my hands and told me to come with him. He pulled me off camera and told me that if he has to take one more sign from me, he would place me on the other side of the camera in the corner where no one could see me. (There were lots of empty seats in the arena on the camera side. The place was NOT sold out like they claimed). I then asked him what was wrong with my signs. I said they were not in bad taste and had no bad words on there and they did have to do with wrestling. His only response was "They don't want them in the back". I asked him what was approperate he said "If you don't know what is then don't hold any up". I am a HUGE Christian fan, and i can't stand Cena that's why I made the anti-Cena signs. To have the WWE rip the signs out of my hands with no explanation is totally wrong. The WWE always preaches freedom of speech, and they claim to listen to us fans, well how can we voice our opinions if they keep doing this? Why did the WWE not take my # 1 PEEPS sign that I held up for Christian? I BOO AND CHEER FOR WHO I WANT, NOT WHO YOU TELL ME TO WWE. Why didn't WWE take away the newspapers the whole second row put in front of their faces and read during the Master's segment (Funny stuff). Congratulations Vince and company, I was planning on giving you $150 + for ringside Great American Bash seats and $40 + for SmackDown! seats two nights later. After last night, I will NEVER attend another WWE event. You screwed me last night Vince, now SCREW YOU!

meh. WWE/F has been taking away signs since the 80s. WCW did it as well. It's not nearly as big a deal as this guy is making it out to be.

"You screwed Jeff Lorenc"....

Too funny.

I remember seeing the "RUCK CENA" sign.

i guess, the wwe didnt' have any problems with signs at the ecw event, since someone clearly had a "WWE sucks" sign.

Maybe because it gets in others' sightlines. I would be pissed if some dumb ass was holding a sign in front of my face all night.

#1 Reason: Bad language, "unacceptable" phrases, or other-wise against Network Standards...

#2 Reason (which it sounds like this guys signs applied to): Someone "in the back" has a problem with them...

I once had sign taken away, back in 2002. I didn't even think I was on camera. It read: I CAME FOR STEPHANIE!

Apparently they didn't like the inuendo. Same exact situation as the above letter. Two guys in WWF polo shirts walk into the section, holding their ears (listening for directions I guess), looked around for a few seconds, walked right up to me grabbed the sign, looked at it ripped it in half, and walked away. Oh well, I'm sure the letter won't change anyone's minds.

I took a blank posterboard to WCW Nitro once and shouted "It's About Nothing!". Kevin Nash gave me a thumbs up.

At Nitro back in '99, we had one sign taken away because it had the word 'suck' on it. A guy behind us had his sign taken away because it referred to Scott Steiner and 'roids'. At least I got Diamond Dallas Page to make a face at us with my "DDP FEARS SOAP" sign.

My own sign confiscation experiences :

1) I went to RAW in Greensboro a couple of years ago and was seated directly across from the TV cameras. One of my signs read "DBSTALK.COM IS RAW" and was confiscated before the show even started. Reason: No URL's on signs (in case it links to porn, I guess). Dbstalk.com is just a satellite dish forum I frequent and I would've gotten a free DVD if the sign got on TV. Oh, well.

Another sign had a TiVo guy on it and read "TiVo IS RAW". It too was confiscated beforehand. Reason: no advertising for any other company or product is allowed, even though TiVo helps make sure wrestling fans get their RAW/SMACKDOWN fix every week. Whatever, morans
These 2 were taken, but my other signs stating
"GOLDUST WANTS ME" and
"EDDIE GUERERRO TOSSED MY TACO SALAD" and
"GRECIAN FORMULA 3:16 (with a 2-year-old pic of grey-haired WCW Bischoff next to a week-old pic of a black-haired WWF Bischoff) were on TV all night with no complaints. Whatever.

2) At SMACKDOWN in Greensboro the next year, my brother was again seated across from the cameras. He waited for his opportunity, and when Sable came out he busted out the sign I made for him reading "NICE CATSUIT, GRANNY". It got on TV, perfectly framed right next to Sable as she stood in the ring. Seconds later though, a polo-shirt-wearing sign Nazi came by and asked him to hand it over. At least he was laughing about it - he thought it was funny but he had orders. That one was taken, but the other sign I made reading "BIG SHOW, PLEASE DON'T DROOL ON US" was a-ok I guess.

um, if they are going to take away signs because they get in other peoples viewing way, then they should take away like 90% of the signs. seriously, there are too many signs at these things as it is. most of them are garbage anyways. no time and effor tput into them.

Yeah, when I went to Smackdown a few years ago we had this guy with a sign that just said "Dudley Boyz". Which is fine and dandy, and I didn't even care of he'd held up the thing during their match, whatever. But 1) He stood and held up the sign, which was double blockage, 2) He has a fat guy, so that's triple blockage, and worst of all 3) He held it up during 90% of the show!!!! Not just during the Dudley match, but every time there was an entrance or any theme music kicked in this asshat stood and jutted his sign out. Did he honestly think the producers would think, "Wow, Austin is coming to the ring... instead of featuring one of those '3:16' or 'What!' signs, let's focus our camera on the guy with the completely irrelevant-to-this-match Dudley Boyz sign!!!"

Christ...I wish they would have enforced that at Raw in Baltimore last Fall...my friends and I were on the floor facing the camera, and this dude about 2 rows in front of us kept on throwing up his sign blocking our view...even during some Diva striptease that was going on!!! You just don't do that!!! We screamed at the guy, and asked security to tell him to stop...they did, but never confiscated the sign and the dude kept on blocking our view. At the end of the night we saw what the sign said "HHH fears the Asian sensation."

Uh...yeah.

Don't bring any signs, that will eliminate any sort of issue.

Have a good day.

I can't believe that people still threadcrap though we've stated in no uncertain terms that it is against forum rules. If you aren't interested in wrestling, then just don't open the wrestling threads.

Ever paid for a movie ticket or a DVD? You do know that the events in motion pictures are "fake" too, right?
