It would be nice to see Marquis improve upon Carp's performance from last night.

Go for the sweep, boys! Highly unlikely since Ortiz is pitching. Only way I see him winning, is if the Dbacks score as many runs as they have the past two nights.

Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig favors reversing use of the designated hitter for interleague games next season.
Under Selig's proposal, which will be considered during the offseason, the DH would be used in National League parks instead of in American League stadiums.

hmmmmm
to give home fans another different thing to see in interleague games
let home AL teams see their pitchers bat
let home NL teams see the DH being used

No Bud - that's as stupid as the DH.

Speaking of the DH, Marquis probably won't hit for himself tonight. Which makes me sad.

Actually, if interleague play is going to continue, this may draw some additional fans to the park. I actually like the idea of switching the DH/pitcher hitting rules for parks.

BTW, B.A. my team has beat the team that is ahead of your team twice and I've heard nary a peep or a thank you from you.

I've been meaning to thank you, but I thought I would wait until the series was over so I could thank you guys for the sweep - Garland is bound to have a shitty night one of these days and your boys are swinging the hot bats.

Anyhow - thanks.
