Olin Browne and Rocco Mediate are atop the leaderboard from this mornings rounds at -3. Retief Goosen and Lee Westwood are a stroke behind at -2.

Mickelson and Singh are hot right now (Phil is 2 under after five holes, Vijay is 2 under after four).

I've never seen golf on HD before. Is it really easy to see the ball?

After watching The Masters in HD, it is hard to go back. It is easier to see everything.

NBC always has the big ones in HD. EPSNHD is worthless and shouldn't exist.

Are you sure? I didn't see the US Open on NBC in the HD Sports Guide and they are usually very accurate.

Yesterday's afternoon coverage was not in HD; some I'm not holding out much hope. Although when I was at the practice round on Wednesday, there were a couple of HD cameras set up.

Well my longshot, Herron, isn't doing well, but my other picks (Toms and Furyk) seem to be hanging in there.

The wind is whipping around today. Course is playing really tough - who was the poor sap who hit a 2nd shot to 5 feet of the flag, only to see it suddenly turn right, roll off the green and into the bunker.

Great save for Gore. I have this feeling Goosen could be close to opening up his lead.

I can't stand the announcing on NBC. Bad reads on putts, poor choice of words in describing putts ("easy" instead of "makeable"), and the camerawork is not that great either. I enjoyed the Masters coverage on CBS a lot more.

So where's Retief Goosen the other 51 weeks of the year? It's like "Wake me up when it's the US Open"

Not to mention that they are zoned in on Tiger, which is fine if he is on the first page of the leaderboard, but not when he is out of the top-10. You can tell that NBC isn't happy with this leaderboard.

Yeah that too. In that pairing, I'm more interested in what Mediate is doing. He is from near my hometown. They haven't been showing any of what he's doing since early on.

With Woods in at +3, now NBC is hoping everyone currently out on the course starts/continues tanking.

That would be fine with me though since I have money on Toms who is in the clubhouse at +2.

Yeah, no one is playing well at the moment. Toms is definitely sitting well at +2 in the clubhouse. Jacobsen's 69 on the day is looking pretty impressive

Having not seen any coverage of the first two days, I was pulling for Olin Browne as I was reading about his qualifying and first two rounds. But after seeing him being interviewed this morning and watching him play today, I hope he sinks like a rock. Man, he seems like such a dick. Goosen will hit his putt, and before it hits the hole, Browne is walking right in front of him getting to his ball. Slow down man, show some respect. He was the same way in his interview, not even wanting to talk about th 59 he shot. Guess what, that's probably the best thing that's going to ever happen in your career, you'd better embrace it while you got the chance. I hope Gore kicks his ass all over the course. At least he looks like he's enjoying it out there.
