NFL Preseason Starts on 8/6/05

Hall of Fame Weekend:
Saturday 8/6/05: Indianapolis vs Atlanta (Toyko, 5am EDT)
Monday 8/8/05: Chicago vs Miami (Canton, 8pm EDT)

Only 60 days until football returns!

Yeah, it's just preseason, but I'll take it over baseball or fem hoops or NASCAR or TV Golf.

Football, baby, foot-ball!

Hopefully, the NFL Network continues the trend of repeating pre-season games.

I've been thinking about this since the last season ended. The build up waiting will get worse as the preseason games are just teasers for when the season starts. Either way, as a Redskins fan, I'm pretty hesitant about the season starting. This is the first time in about 10 years where I'm not saying "This is gonna finally be the year."

No matter how shitty the Skins are, I can't wait for football season.

I have the same sentiments about the Bears.

It's pretty sad that as soon as the NFL draft was over, I'm already preparing for our fantasy draft in August.

BTW, would you recomend getting the NFL Network? We had a free preview for a couple of months when it first debuted in Canada but I wasn't particularly impressed with it.

I think it is worse for us Vikings fans. There is no team with more changes and anticipation.

Meh. I only watch it a little bit in August for preseason games.

As July comes around and camps get closer and closer I get really excited for football, but then pre-season starts and I'm like "That's it!?"

Its just not "competitive" so I don't get into it. But at least in the preseason, loses don't hurt my Bears chances of making the playoffs!

There isn't a whole lot to recommend. As Red Dog says, it's great for pre-season games. I watch NFL Total Access here and there as well as Game of the Week in HD during the season.

Thanks. I think I'll just spend my money elsewhere.

After the NBA Finals are over, there's only a month and a half of the dog days of summer, but two and a half months until Ravens/Colts on Sunday Night Football's network debut!

Ravens over the Vikes in SB XL!
