kevin has retired 5 of 15 first batters faced
hell, probably because he has to come in for kolb in these situations and intentional walk the first batter to try and setup a damn double play

Spectacularly bad managing. We're too deep into the season to keep building confidence in a guy who fucking sucks. If he ever enters the game, he should be yanked after the first baserunner. Unbelieveable.

So when is Atlanta going to have try-outs for their bullpen? I think I might be able to throw some El Duque eephus pitches.

man, i miss have a dominant closer (smoltz)
he has been great in the starting lineup.. but kolb is a joke.. you just know that when he comes in, he can blow any lead

Between Reitsma and Gryboski, with help from Foster and Sosa, we would be fine if they didn't keep shoving that fool Kolb out there.

yep.. gryboski would be fine in middle relief, if he didnt have to come out with runners at 2nd & 3rd and 1 out.. or with bases loaded..
but kolb is great at setting up those situations

reitsma is adequate as a closer.

when thomson fiinally returns.. it will be interesting to see what happens.. since davies has come up and pitched lights out.. and the rest of the starting pitchers are pretty dominant.. could lead to having a pretty damn good starter go to middle relief

(of course, thats still quite a ways away )

Embarrassing. There's no excuse for this anymore. Early in the season, you could talk about "not giving up on the kid" and crap, but not anymore. It's over. Stop it.

I think it's time we just accept the fact that we must clone Smoltz.

The MLB should adopt NCAA Softball rules so Smoltz can come in and save his own games.

The entire NL East has a record over .500 with only 2.5 games between first and last.

All the more reason the Braves need to get this shit together, and fast. There's no running away with the division this year.

Having said that, big to the division being so competitive.

I think it's funny (in a totally unfunny way) that Kolb gets credited with a Hold in tonight's game.
