Jesus Christ - what happened - I'm only following the game on-line. I guess Ortiz hit a homer?

O's left 11 on base. That's sad.

Yep. Bellhorn and Renteria hit infield singles and Ortiz hit a HR to dead center on a full count.

That really sucks. I would have taken a series split going in but 3-1 would have been a great way to start the 2-week road trip.

I'm following online, too, and they still haven't updated the bottom of the 9th - I guess I should follow games in this thread!

How sad that I feel so good about splitting a series with Baltimore (well, a series plus a makeup game).

Sorry about that. I had money on Sox -1.5 and must have done something right today. To hit -1.5 in the bottom of the ninth is insanely rare. I think I need to go save a baby or something now.

As for LOB, I wasn't paying very close attention, but I know I saw the Sox load the bases twice (once with one out) and come away with jack. Not good for either side.

Christ, the Rockies suck ass. Bases loaded with no outs in the bottom of the 8th, down one and do they score? Hell no. They must've watched the 2003 and 2004 Chicago Cubs "How to Hit with the Bases Loaded" Instructional Video.

I thought that was a Red Sox trademark.

Helton vs. Izzy in the bottom of the 9th. Helton wins.

....followed by an IBB to Holliday. Bases loaded. Zero outs.

Man, it sure is nice to see some other team's bullpen implode instead of the Braves'.

The throwing errors help, too.

Dude, the experiment is over. It's a failure. Just accept it and move on. Jesus tapdancing Christ, how many saves must he blow before this bullshit ends? At this point, I'd rather have Mondesi on the mound.

They gave up on Mondesi pretty quickly, why can't they do the same with Kolb?

Good fucking grief.
