Wow, the A's have the second worst record in the AL. Who would have thought those 2 pitchers they traded away might have this effect?

Their mistake was to keep Chavez instead of Tejada. Huge blunder, as Chavez is not and will never be a leader or clutch player.

But they play in the west so they always still have a chance.

Wonder how long Prior will be out

What do you mean? They are 9 1/2 games out with 3 teams ahead of them.

Great inning for the Red Sox. Batted around and completely put the Yankees out of the game.

Oh wait. Its all coming back to me now...

When were we smack talking? The only positive comment was about Tek's HR.

BTW, tell Georgie that Sveum wants his duffle bag full of cash dropped off in the dumpster behind the teams hotel.

let me clarify. not you persay, but more along the lines of Rockmjd23. He always talks smack to NYC fans. I remember a few weeks back that he made fun of the Yankees and it wasn't even in an MLB thread. I forget what it was...I think that we were talking about Boston College or something like that.

"In the off-season, Sveum lives with his family -- wife Darlene, daughter Britanne, 15, and son Rustin, 11 -- in a subdivision beneath Arizona's picturesque Saddleback Mountain. .... One wall is decorated with photos and newspaper clips of great moments in baseball. The wall also displays the home's most treasonous item of decor: a framed, autographed photo of Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter."

if you look at my posts, you'll see that my posts overall have died down. I started a new job earlier this month and I have to wake up for work at 6 AM and I usually don't get home till around 6:30 PM or close to 7 PM. Since I still need to go to the gym, I've decided to sacrifice on a lot of my DVDTalk Sport Thread posting. I used to post religiously in the NBA threads (usually defending myself against Lakers fans) but haven't done so of late due to the fact that at my new job I can't surf the net as much at my old job (new job almost none at all, old job all the time).

Matter of fact, after I got home, watched the first inning of this game, fell asleep and woke up right after Cano hit his 2-run homer.

If I wasn't so tired all the time, I'd definitely post more in here to gloat about the Yanks

Now that I'm getting adjusted to my new job and increased work hours, I'll increase my post count here whether or not the teams that I root for are doing well.
