I think Chacin start against the Red Sox has been pushed back until tomorrow and instead Lilly is starting tonight because of Halladay injury.

Not expecting much with Lilly on the mound.

Any of our Houston friends know any more about Clemens condition? I heard at first that it was nothing serious and he probably wouldn't miss a start but now I'm reading that they're going to be very cautious with him and he'll probably skip his turn in the rotation.

Of course the best way to handle him is to trade Clemens to a team that can score runs and with a bullpen that can hold a lead.

zambrano vs davies
on first glance, looks like a mismatch
hopefully davies continues the job he did in his first start

Aaron Harang was a late scratch, Matt Belisle is pitching in his place.

He killed the Sox last year, IIRC.

And Boston Dirt Dog strikes again. They have a story about Keith Foulke getting his arm examined in Alabama. The story is false, per Foulke himself.

Maybe if it were Carlos Zambrano. I think we've got a good chance at a sweep.

Little Matty stepped up today. Pitched well.

I am basicly drooling over the lineup today (the top 5). It's sooo the prototype of what it should be everyday:

Freel
Lopez
Griffey
Dunn
Kearns
Then, once Casey and Randa are back:
Casey
Randa
LaRue

Anyways, big day for the offense today. The top 5, in that order, were great all around. I can't believe we swept a team. Take that, Bowden.

Wily Mo Pena is still on the DL. Chris Sabo is the new closer.

That's as far as I've heard today. Not serious, but he'll probably skip as start as a precaution.

It may end up happening, but if he really only wants to go to NY, he may get stuck at home unless Cashman can work some magic with a package to get him. Getting the farmhands the Yankees are willing to deal may actually be less desirable than paying him and riding it out.

Houston should ask for Masui and let NY play Bernie Williams in the outfield.

The local radio guys are going off on Curt Schilling and his over-blown reaction to what LaRussa said in Boston about Renteria's struggles so far this season.

Does Schilling spend all day on the radio?

LOL. Shill was getting killed on WEPN in NYC today, as well. But not for the LaRussa thing. Somehow his never ending string of opinions on just about everything was pulled into the whole Arod-seeing-a-therapist discussion......

He has a weekly gig and also calls when he feels like it. If you want to read the transcripts of what Curt said you can go to www.bostondirtdogs.com and scroll down.

Dont visit the website at work, though. You need to be at home so you can jump in the shower immediatly after visiting the site.

In case you guys hadn't heard about it, Oil Can Boyd was signed by the BoSox AAA team on Monday. He hasn't pitched in the majors in 14 years, but is hoping to make it back at the age of 45. Personally with a name like Oil Can Boyd, how can you not root for the guy

Technically, it wasnt the AAA club. Im not sure what the affiliation is with the Red Sox, if there is one at all.

Pass the duchy.

Can was signed by Brocton, which might as well be a step below the Park League and a giant leap below the Cape League.....

I got excited there for a second. Had he signed with Pawtucket, I'd be all over the "bring him up" bandwagon. I could stomach Oil Can being lit up far more than I can Wells.

LOL, I got confused about his:
"I'll go to Pawtucket for a couple hours," he said of Boston's Triple-A team, "and then let's go get the Yankees."
Seemed pretty hard to believe. Sorry if I misled anyone
