Well, with Houston & Colorado coming in with their god-awful road records, it is now time for the Cubs to shit or get off the pot. IMO, if they don't win 6 of the next 7 (or at a bare minimum 5 of 7) their season is done. Of course this assumes it's not done already .

That's actually not a bad theory.

Reporter: Carlos, you've got great stuff, but many wonder if you have the temperment to be a top-of-the-rotation starter. Your response?

CZ: STFU!! I hope you get hit by an 18 wheeler!!

No joke. Initial confirmation from two sources, followed by confirmation from the club itself. Lance McAlister on 1360 Homer should give a recap any minute.

Excellent news for all Reds fans out there. This guy was a complete ass and entirely too defensive considering how lousy he is now. The pen's still going to be a mess, but the team's better off without him.

This is true. One glance at their June schedule shows that if they don't get above .500 during this home stand, they are in HUGE trouble.

Probably. They've been grooming him for that spot the last two seasons.

Wagner is the most likely candidate, but I don't know of any official announcement at this point. I believe Miley (today) made a comment to the effect that they wanted to move Graves from closer back to reliever, but his latest outings gave them no confidence in him.

Perhaps Miley will just shuffle closers, like the rest of his lineups.

WONDERFUL!!!!!!1

The scum can't get out of here any quicker. I have faith in DanO now. Eating the contracts of two cancers (one clubhouse cancer, one on the field cancer). Graves made a hand gester when walking off the field the other night as well. D'Angelo, who wouldn't shut his mouth and stop crying about being benched (who, also starting a bar fight with Ryan Freel before the season) was released just a few days ago, and now Graves, who basicly has become my most hated Red the last 3 seasons.

BYE!

Yes, a fan yelled something to the effect of, "I didn't pay two hundred f***ing dollars to watch you throw that shit!" while he was on his way back to the bench after giving up five runs in 1/3 innings, and he replied by flipping the bird.

Griffey, from the AP article on Graves' release: "It's tough. He's not a troublemaker. He's not a guy that complained."

Eh?

I'd think Griffey J is the most hated because he's been so oft injured.
