Well, last year he said he focused more on playing third so his offense suffered. I guess he doesn't believe in happy mediums.

He's batting around .305 and he is leading MLB in HR's, RBI's and runs scored and his defense has been terrible. He's Manny.

2 more hits and another RBI for A-Rod. Now if he can just play defense.

I'm listening to the Braves game on the radio, and Clement has a perfect game going. Furcal steps to the plate, and at least on the radio (maybe on TV as well?), you can clearly hear a fan yelling at the top of his lungs, "Hey Clement!!!! You've got a PERFECT GAME!!!!!" 2 pitches later, Furcal busts up the perfect game, and the Braves post 2 runs. Thank you, Mr. Jinx. (not like it matters as our bullpen will blow any lead under 7 if it gets that far)

ESPN is encouraging the Dodgers to trade Gagne or Brazoban. Names thrown out as possible trades: Wood or Zambrano.

Classic Graves today. 5 ER in 1/3rd of an inning in a 3-2 ball game.

Graves' thoughts?
"A bunch of people have written to tell me they still are behind me and the team," said Graves. "Those are real fans, ones who have supported us for years, not the drunks who wait until the eighth and ninth innings to come down to the front rows to throw things and swear."

I highly doubt they will trade Gagne. He's a cash cow.

So,

Smoltz (left on my bench) gets run from the game after 4.2, but with his 0 ER and his 4K that would be one of my pitchers' better stats of the week.

Rangers hand Houston their 7th shut out of the season behind seven decent innings from Chan Ho Park (who worked himself out of two-on, 0 out trouble twice) who got the 2-0 win. Cordero picked up his 14th save and strike out the side although he made it interesting by walking 2 with two outs. Hopefully the Dodgers can't take out Anaheim tonight.

Anyone who trades anything of value for Wood is an idiot.

Nice showing for B-Mac today. To bad Ozzie pulled him for Vizcaino. As far as I'm concerned Vizcaino should either be getting a one way ticket to Charlotte or on mop-up duty.

Towers couldn't get the job today and the Nationals avoid the sweep.

Man, it used to mean something when the Jays played the Expos. Now as the Nationals, I couldn't care less.
