Yeah Borowski returned & pitched a 1-2-3 9th. His first batter hit a home run if the wind wasn't blowing in (pretty sure it would have went out, it was to the wall in dead center), got Everett to ground out, and struck out Podsednick.

Just got back from Wrigleyville, went to the game, great seats and a nice, even, beatdown of the scrubs. Even had a fight break out in the rows right behind us. Classic.
On to tomorrow! Got a ticket for that game too!
30-12 baby!

Cubs get to avoid the Sox' two best pitchers in this series but Garcia rises to the occasion giving up just one unearned run in seven innings.
Keep it up Sox!

The Score is reporting Brandon McCarthy has been scrathed from his start in Charlotte and is on his way to Chicago. I take it, if true he'll be pitching for Contreras or El Duque, hopefully it's Contreas and not El Duque.

This Yankees/Mets game is one of the sloppiest games I've seen in a long time.
Both pitchers are struggling to get outs, but they're getting them because no ones hitting with runners on and the runs are coming across on errors. I think 3 of the 4 total runs scored in the game are off errors. To the players credit, they can't play perfect every night.

ERA: Mulder 3.44 overall, 3.33 away, Greinke 3.09 overall, 2.55 at home
WHIP: Mulder 1.20, Greinke 1.14
K's: Mulder 35, Greinke 28
BB: Mulder 13, Greinke 9
HR allowed: Mulder 2, Greinke 3
But it all boils down to run support.
In the 8 games Mulder has pitched, St. Louis has scored 47 runs. While for Greinke's 8 games, KC has only scored 13 runs.
In Mulder's one loss, StL scored 5 runs. In his two no decicions, they scored 7 and 6.
In five of Greinke's games, they scored 1 or less runs. The most they have ever scored for him is 4. And that was only once.
That being said, take the under. But be aware that I am putting Mulder in my lineup.

The way Theo was handing out all those performance based contracts, you gotta wonder if Foulke thinks he has some incentive kick in if he leads the league in blown and near-blown saves........

Either Vlad is retarded or the Angels 3rd base coach is. He tries to score from 1st on after Finley doubles to the wall with the Angels already ahead 4-0. Of course he is tagged out, the play wasn't even close, but he goes down in a heap after the tag. Why he or the 3rd base coach would risk injury (he was clearly in pain as he ran from the look on his face) is beyond me.

He's pitching Sunday against Johnson. So by your thinking, he's scared of Brown but he wants the Unit?
