Asked last night:

1) When will Street be the A's new closer? Do they need to keep Octavio as the closer to not diminish his trade value until he is dealt closer to the deadline?

It's looking like KRod will only be out until Friday, so I did not bother with Shields...

Yup, leading the Majors in HR and RBI's. Well, I guess he's tied with Tejada for the RBI lead. It's good he's out of the 2 hole. He can produce too many runs to be hitting there. I know it's just been against the A's and Mariners but it's good to see the Yanks bounce back a little. Hope they keep it up.

It's almost for certain if the Pads can get to the Braves bullpen early.

Sweet! So the Yanks can gain a whole game if they win #11 tonight.

You can have the biggest boner for NYY's winning streak if you want, but keep in mind that they're pushing around (sadly) Seattle and Oakland for two series apiece, and each team with terrible pitching staffs (also hampered by injury too).

That's like beating the shit out of the retarded kid in class and thinking you're the most badass kid in the classroom, when there still about 10 kids in the class that can still beat YOUR ass.

I'll eat my words if they can go 6-3 or better against the upcoming @NYM/DET/BOS series.

So by that rationale....Boston got it's ass kicked by a retard on Monday night?

The Red Sox havent been playing that well for the last week or so, but they are still in a good position. Their ace has been on the DL and they have played a lot of road games. Wells coming back today is an upgrade. Its been annoying, but nothing to panic about yet.

And Pedro isnt going to pitch Friday against Randy Johnson. He might pitch Sunday against Pavano.

Its so funny that most new york fans here can praise their team and not mention and just make a funny joke, but then comes a Boston fan talking crap about the Yankees again. You guys ended the losing streak of Oakland.

We talk bad about Boston we are the Anti Christs, if they talk bad about the Yankees, its all ok.

oh well. Go yankees

The Cubs take the lead against the Pirates in the 9th. Of the 5 runs scored in the game, 4 have been on sacrifice flies. The other was on an infield single. Sounds like a boring game.

I see the Cubbies bullpen is in it's usual form today.

The Cubs pulled it out. Even though the Pirates loaded the bases in the bottom of the 9th.

I wouldn't call Monday night an asskicking either. Game was tied going into the bottom of the 8th.

All I'm saying is that the 10 win streak has come at the expense of two lousy teams. Their main problems (lousy defense, old players and pitching staff) still exist and will be exposed against better teams.
