Yeah, I think he can hit 50...say he has 15 by the end of May...the ball will fly out during the summer months and he can hit 30 from June - August....that leaves only 5 more to reach 50 by the end of Sept. If Griffey continues playing pretty well it will only help him out...

Seems like you're the only one in this thread Twikoff...but yeah Jones is absolutely unreal right now. I don't know what's gotten into that guy, but if he winds up hitting 45-50hr's this year, that will shock me. A-Rod and Pujols will probably pick it up a little going into July

A.P. is the only one on the leaderboard whose BB:SO ratio favors the former.

true.. and thats just barely the case
the K:BB ratio doesnt look right, without bonds up there
but Derek Lee still is batting .385.. and has a OBP of .461
so I doubt many people care about his strikeouts all that much

yea.. there are typically a handful of posts at the start of the season when people are making their predictions
and then not many until later, when things heat up near the end
during the mid months.. i basically just try to remember to post updates every week or two.. so looking back, we can see the changes in the standings.

I wish Frank Thomas had a healthy season so far, he'd be interesting to watch. Since coming back, in 19 games he only has 12 hits, but 8 home runs!

Wasn't it last year where he didn't get a homer until after the all-star break... and then homered again the next night?

Whos the closest prediction-wise thus far? Im thinking I might be closest to the mark with Teixeira (3) and Dunn (5) considering none of us thought the likes of Jones, Lee, and Ensberg would have so many.

I'd go with Andruw Jones, just for kicks (and because I recently moved to Atlanta!).
