Looks like Dempster might be this years' Clement on the Cubs. No fucking run support whatsoever

Nice call bringing in Remlinger to face Walker, Dusty.

He's only 8-18 9-19 lifetime against him.

Not to mention Larry Walker was hitting over .400 against Remlinger in his career. What an embarrassment to baseball.

Nice job by Dempster again. However this shit for a bullpen is just awful. Carpenter did very well too. I'll take the split but this team is headed down if this keeps up. Plus we finally get Patterson (I can never take a walk) out of the lead-off but to #3 !?! and Lee at #6? And Hairston is just brilliant at the #1 spot Baker is just a complete tool.

Carpenter. Nice almost CG/no walk/SO.

Oh... They keep him in for Barrett?

EDIT: Not a good couple swings for Barrett. One pitch away, couldn't get him to chase outside.

Whats with all the CGs this season? It seems way higher than normal with Carpenter getting #18 this year, also the 7th Shutout.

There have been 223 games played so far this year (not counting most of todays early games) and 18 CGs for an 8% CG ratio which seems nuts. I've also had a bunch of pitchers on my fantasy team go 8 innings.

So is this just some crazy anomaly? Am I way off base on normal CG/Game ratios? Has steroid testing resulted in less runs from hitters? Is Jack McKeon rubbing off on all the managers? What gives!

Two strikeouts already... I'm gonna say no... unless Mondesi hits it towards Guzman who commits an Error on the throw.

He threw a gem, but he also threw 113 pitches. Not exactly what I would've done with a guy who missed the last part of 2004 with a nerve injury. Not as if the game wasn't already in hand when the decision came to be made. Jose Macias was in the on deck circle for Christ's sake.

Man, that's gotta suck. Braves score 2 unearned runs in the top of the 9th to take the lead, and now it's pouring rain so they have to suspend the game.

Wow. They aren't suspending play. That's surprising. There are pools of water on the infield dirt. Itneresting.

Nice pitch to Vidro.

And continuing to Guillen, they seem to be calling the low strike. I think the ump just wants to get out of the rain.

He was cruising - he only threw 93 pitches through eight innings. You know Dusty would have left him in there.

Great outing by Carpenter. Nice hitting by Rolen - maybe he is starting to wake up at the plate.

The game took less than two and a half hours! Sell out crowd of 46,000+ were at the stadium today and enjoyed some nice weather to boot. PaddyO's, Hrabosky's and the Landing are going to be packed this afternoon.

Two game series are teh suck.
