he has a lazy eye (if not both)

his gaze doesn't bother me nearly as much as how he used the same phrases over and over ("As cool as the other side of the pillow" comes to mind)

I think the story is he got hit in the eye w/ a football covering some NFL camp or something.

Best story was when the Superbowl was in San Diego years ago. My friend saw him walking around in the parking lot with a camera crew. He started yelling "hey, it's the guy with the lazy eye" because he couldn't remember his name. Scott was pissed off.

I think it was at Cowboys camp if I remember correctly.

I think it was Jets camp, but he had problems with his eye well before that. That just made the problem even worse (don't think he can wear contacts anymore).

He's got a somewhat common muscle imbalance in his eyes. Basically means it's very tough for him to "control" both eyes at once. There's nothing he can do about it.

The way I remember it, he already had some serious eye condition, but was getting it under control. Then he got the bright idea to walk on to Jets camp and try to play. He took a pass to the eye and nearly lost his eye again.

I may just seem that way since both of them are pointed in different directions.

It was a different eye. Quoting myself from an earlier post,

He got hit with a football at Jets training camp that split the cornea and lens of his left eye. Years earlier, he had suffered a detached retina in his right eye and was relying on the vision of his left eye to see clearly.

I fully expect a band starting up to take the name "Stuart Scott's Eye" now
