Terry Francona to miss today's game because of chest pains. Apparently he was taken to the hospital. I just heard this on The Herd. I missed what source he got it from. I hope he's okay. Scary stuff. Boston.com has it up.

Best wishes to Tito. If I was manager watching the early returns on the newest Sox players, I'd be thankful it was only chest-tightness.

Samething happened to Peter Jennings and we know how that turned out. Oh well too bad it wasn't Ramirez or Damon though.

ESPN reported he was transferred from Cornell Weil by ambulance up to the General last night.

EDIT: Local NYC news is saying he was med-evac'ed to Boston (that implies helicopter, right?).

He is out of the hospital now and should be back in time for opening day.
