Stanley Cup Playoffs vs NBA Playoffs

As an offshoot of the NBA Playoffs vs March Madness poll, I was interested in seeing the general opinion of Stanley Cup vs NBA Playoffs.

And let's say up until this year.

("I don't give a shit about either" was intentionally left out, a low turnout will speak for that)

NBA as I'd rather watch the WNBA playoffs than hockey. Not having to sit through hockey highlights to see all the college b-ball highlights this fall and spring has been fantastic.

You shouldn't have to sit through many/any Stanley Cup highlights/lowlights to see college b-ball highlights, they don't typically ever coincide (if they ever have).

Just trying to keep on the real topic.

I voted NBA Playoffs.

I grew up in Jersey and now live in NYC for the last 7-8 years. I watch any NBA playoff game that's on. The only NHL Playoff games that I ever watch are if they involve the NJ Devils otherwise I could care less about it.

Don't mind him. He shits all over the NHL every chance he gets.

That being said, the NHL playoffs are great.

(If we ever see them again )

Why wouldn't people admit to watching hockey?

NHL Playoffs...nothing beats the excitement...every game is close, and don't even get me started on the overtime periods...they're the best part of professional sports.

NHL Playoffs by a mile and a half. A hockey players sole goal from the time they begin playing is to win the Stanley Cup. It doesn't even seem like the NBA players care about winning a championship.

Doesn't look like they care enough to even start playing

Since I hate the NBA, I choose the NHL playoffs. (Not that I don't enjoy basketball I just like college a whole lot more.) I admitidly don't watch NHL regular season but come playoff time I always find it enojoyable to watch the playoffs. They really do give it 110% everytime they're out there, I can't say the same about NBA playoffs.

 Your trolling is much more boring than soccer, the NBA and watching bowling combined.

NHL- I agree with GOAT, I don't watch the NHL regualr season but the playoffs are awesome.

NHL playoffs. I don't watch a single hockey in the regular season. I do watch some playoff games. Quite compelling. I can't say the same about the NBA - at least not since the mid-90s.

From the looks of the poll, I guess a lot more people would rather watch paint dry than the "basketball" the NBA puts out there.

Hockey like Baseball is awesome come playoff time. However, I watch Basketball all season long so I will put that one slightly ahead as I'm more into it.

to me, watching hockey is like watching soccer. Low scoring and it just doesn't appeal to the majority of Americans.

Hockey is a Canadian sport but that sad part is that almost all the Canadian franchises aren't profitable....it's sad that hockey does better in warm weather cities like Tampa Bay than in Canadian cities.

Plus, this lockout is really gonna kill hockey. If you thought that the baseball lockout was bad, this one will be 10 times worse. The NHL might end up being worth less than that $3.5 billion that those private investores were offering for it.
