I like Alex Smith from Utah, just because I think he is the most important player on his team. Probably will be Leinart from USC who wins, who would be my number 2 and I guess Benson at number 3.

So last year Leinart puts up these stats: 255-402, 63.4%, 3556 yards, 38 TDs, 9 ints and wins a national title. Yet he doesn't even get invited as a finalist for the Heisman.
This year, he is 251-377, 66.6%, 2990 yards, 28 TDs, 6 INTs, and yet he might win the Heisman. Figure that one out for me.

Not trying to criticise, but for those voting for Benson, what is the reasoning? Peterson has better numbers, looked better while putting up those better numbers, played far better during their head-to-head matchup, and was arguably the main reason why Oklahoma is playing for the National Championship. Is it because he is a freshman? Is it because of the other options that Oklahoma has, which seemingly Texas does not? Why not any votes for Arrington then? Again, just curious as to your thoughts.

but youll admit that it would work pretty well this season
well.. except that utah/cal/texas question... because texas would probably be the 4th team.. and utah and cal both deserve it more.

Peterson has Jason White.
Arrington has Aaron Rodgers.
Benson has Vince Young.
Benson's worst game was 92 yards against Oklahoma... rest of the time he ran wild. And this is without Texas having much of a passing game. That's why Benson is the guy.
