For anyone in a betting mood tonight, the ChiSox take on the Indians. The Indians once again have a chance to reach .500. They have already had 8 attempts earlier in the season to reach .500, and have only done so once. It was in April to go 2-2 with a win against KC.

I dont care that CC is on the hill for the Tribe, it really doesnt matter. Indians lose tonight, its a lock.

If somebody would have told me that the Mets would be 2.5 games out of first on June 21st, I would have laughed them off of my porch.

Hey Detroit- that sweep was for not breaking our single-season loss record last year.

Thankfully the Cardinals get the day off so they can learn the art of hitting again - somehow they forgot yesterday.

Look out, baseball! The Red Sox are about to snag a big arm, and completely solve their mid-late inning woes.

The Red Sox will likely sign Curt Leskanic to a contract within the next 2-3 days.
Boston will only have to pay the 36-year-old right-hander $175,000 as the Royals would be on the hook for the balance of Leskanic's contract ($1.375 million). Look for Mark Malaska to be sent to Triple-A Pawtucket to make room for Leskanic on the 25-man roster when, and if, the veteran reliever signs with the Sox.

Ummmm...ok.

It's a fabulous baseball world when Curt Leskanic can make $1.375 million.

No shit. I try to avoid thinking about most low-level players' salaries. Doing so usually preceeds thoughts about taking a nap on the railroad tracks.

His agent is going to get him a job with a contender despite an 8.04 ERA and admitting that his pitching shoulder is hurt. And there were teams competing for his services. No denying he was solid when he was with the Brewers, but come on.

Just remember.

Curt Leskanic, ye of an 8.04 ERA, drives a nicer car and has a much bigger house than you do.

Wow. It's great to see clutch baseball in Houston. Berkman hits a 3-run 2B to tie the game at 4. It's still early, but they've been so bad with the bases loaded. They've at least saved themselves from another bad Redding outting.

I guess I put the Hex on this one.

Tribe wins 5-1 in dominant fashion.

.500 never felt so good.

Yeah, I might even have to start paying some more attention to them. I did watch some of tonight's game.
