How did the world's number one player - that great player in the wind - finish?

Great finish. Regardless of where Goosen finishes, he has made some incredible saves. Some of his par putts were amazing.

Let's see what Goosen does off the tee before handing this over.

What a choke. Kudos to Tief. My hope is he decides to have a presence on the regular tour instead of only bringing his A-game to the majors.

Goosen makes a 12-footer for a birdie - gets a smattering of applause and a 'yes' from the home-boy NBC announce crew.

Mickleson makes a 8-footer for a birdie on the same hole - the crowd goes crazy - the home-boy NBC announce crew goes even crazier.

Goosen has no following. Why? Because he only shows up at the majors on a semi-regular basis. I'd love to see Ernie win this, Goosen on the other hand gives me that indifferent feeling.

Somehow, I don't see Goosen doing a Van der Velde British Open type collapse on the 18th, but hey..... we can always hope. Go Phil!!!!

i swear if that putt went in on the 18th, the crowd would have torn the course upside down

If the wind stays up, I like Goosen.

Goosen does have a following - among knowledgeable golf fans.

Does he actually hit a lowball type shot?

So is manboobs back to choking again? Was the Masters just a fluke? Or was that green just that tough?

Sadly this inactive thread is evidence that no one gives a damn that Retief won.

There are very few golf fans on this forum - even fewer horse racing fans.

There are a bunch of Tiger Woods fans, however.

This surprises you - that Americans and American networks pull for other Americans in big sporting events. Ever watched a little sporting event known as the Olympics?

Looks like Manboobs didn't exactly exercise his demons with his Masters win. That was the classic Phil choke.

Amazing display of putting by Goosen yesterday. I really liked his chances to hold the lead yesterday - he is one of the steadiest players on the Tour.

That's 4 championships for South Africa in 11 years. They might have rename this tournament.

Was anyone else surprised at the plethora of commercials that NBC aired during the most important golf tournament in the world? I thought it was pathetic.
