What sucks about late games is that the newspaper doesnt get the results, so the sports section sucks the next morning.

So you guys should start your games at normal hours. 7:05 makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

It sucks worse for them, trust me. I used to live out there and on a normal day, by the time I got home from work, all the games were over!!

The Patriots Day Red Sox game starts at 8am Pacifac time.

But when East Coast teams play in West Coast cities, they should begin the games at 7:05 ET to accomodate the normal people.

The NL Central amuses the hell out of me. I just knew the Cards, Cubs and 'Stros would be neck and neck this season. But who and the hell knew the Reds, Brewers and Bucs would make this season so damn interesting thus far?

Minnesota needs to pull their heads out of their asses.

Hella fun...but my guess Pirates/Brewers/Reds will fall behind in the upcoming months...if not it will be one hell of a race.

I'm surprised that they have stuck around this long. The Reds are over-achieving and will cool off sometime after the break and the Pirates/Brewers hot bats will cool off sooner rather than later.

First game of the west coast road trip for the White Sox tonight where they've been terrible over the last few seasons.

Hopefully we'll get some more help from the Rays

If we thought at the beginning of the season that the Cards, Cubs and 'Stros would be all tied up after 50 games, then I'm sure that we'd have thought they'd be atop the division all tied up. Instead, they're smack in the middle of the division, 2.5 games behind the 1st place Reds and 2.5 games above the last place Pirates.

At least it'll keep the entire division interesting for a while longer.

I remember last August when I was in Vegas the Reds were 3000 to 1 to win the world series in '03. I wonder if those odds have dropped at all since then.

MrX, I expect them to do very well this week since Oak and Sea are nowhere near as good as they've been in previous seasons.

* American Idol contestant and overnight media darling William Hung sung "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th inning stretch of Sunday's matchup between the Toronto Blue Jays and Texas Rangers. Hung instantly became the best singer Canada has seen since Alanis Mor.. Bryan Ada.. Celine Di..... nevermind, he's the best Canada's seen.

* Ageless veteran Fred McGriff hit his first home run of the season on Sunday for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, moving him within 7 of the magical 500 Home Run mark. Although McGriff is elated to be back in the majors again to continue his quest, the biggest benefactor of his power surge Sunday was movie mogul Tom Emansky, who saw his monthly sales of his baseball instructional video spike up 50% from 2 to 3.

* Cubs star pitcher Mark Prior is eyeing a Friday return to the mound against division rival Pittsburgh. When asked how short of a leash he would have on Prior, Cubs manager Dusty Baker opined, "It's his first start of the season, so we'll definitely have a short leash on him -- probably no more than 160 pitches or so."

Hopefully the Angels can rebound from their dreadful 1-5 road trip.

Should be a good game, BoSox always play the Angels hard

I wanted to go, but only nosebleed seats left at the big A

The Emansky one would've been funnier if you would've said he was using the videos to get back into the majors.

The Prior one, unfortunately, is true.
