Worst Sports Announcer or Analyst?

In your opinion, who is the worst Sportscenter or other analyst or announcer?

Some criticisms could be, but would not be limited to:

1. Uninformed
2. Disrespectful to opposing teams i.e, won't even give them credit for good plays (if announcer)
3. Foolish comments
4. No comments at all
5. Shows definite favoritism towards a team or player (if an analyst not employed by a particular team or city)
6. "Color commentator" whose jokes or lines or calls are not humorous or rewarding in any way.
7. Rambles on about the good old days when should be giving the play by play (if announcer)
8. Anything else you find annoying...

Personally, I dislike Stewart Scott because of his blatant use of what he thinks is urban slang (basically makes himself into an annoying stereotype: an opinion shared by many of my black friends which I agree with) and Hawk Harrelson, for his idiotic "He Gone" strikeout call and ho-hum descriptions of excellent plays
made by the opposing team.

Yours?

NOTE: I tried to place people in the poll that others have expressed an extreme like or dislike for...I'm not saying that they should all be on "The Bad Announcer/List...."

Worst Sportscenter anchor: Stuart Scott by far.

Worst football analyst: Shannon Sharpe.

Worst football announcer: Chris Collinsworth or Jerry Glanville.

Worst baseball announcer: Tim McCarver

Worst baseball analyst: That shitty guy from ESPN. Its late and I forget his name.

Uhh....I've heard JT discuss sports quite a bit, and he's regularly featured on Sports Radio shows (810 AM here)

I'm aware that Miller isn't in sports anymore...I suppose I should have said "Current or Nearly Current"....

Good comments though

The worst "professional" broadcaster I've ever heard is Ron Santo, the Cubs color man here in Chicago.

Worst Poll Choices Ever!

People deserving repeat mention because they suck at such epic levels: Tim McCarver and Bill Rhoden
Other terribles: Brent Musberger and Craig Sager
Honorable Mention: Jim Grey

Look, this thread isn't supposed to be a semantic debate about the operational definition of a sports announcer or analyst, or commentator, or talk show host!!! Answer the f'ing question with an opinion on the matter for f's sake! If I wanted to hear this kind of crap, the title would have been: Which of the following are analysts, which are commentators, which are talk show hosts, and which are announcers?

I'm glad some of you got the idea and were able to make the simple inference about what kind of opinions I was interested in hearing.

As for the others: You're missing the point.

Hehehe....naahhh...It's hard to be a Cubs fan and not like Ron Santo...he certainly is inept, but as another poster has said, he's like the John Madden of baseball:

"What the Cubs need to do here is to hit a homer...that way, the batter will get to walk around all the bases and score, and so will everyone else on base, and the Cubs will have more runs".

McCarver: That was illegal!!! In my ## years with baseball, I've never seen something so disgraceful.
Other guy: You sure about that, Tim? Seemed OK to me.
McCarver: He should be kicked out of the league for that. I'm disgusted.
Other guy: I have the rulebook right here, and it says, "[insert definitive proof McCarver is wrong]."
McCarver: Hey, did you see the Friends finale?

Joe Buck, he seems so uninterested in the game he is announcing. I wish someone would get Bob Costas in the booth during the World Series

I listen to him every now and then and he actually makes me appreciate Mike Shannon.

Show that you know what the hell you are talking about before you post a poll and don't get so snippy when someone corrects you. It happens here all of the time. I've been corrected before and didn't take any offense.

My "bad" list could go on for hours. But Tim McCarver and Stephen A. Smith have earned a special level of dark and frightening hatred within me. It's unhealthy.

Blasphemy! Joe Buck is awesome - and I have noticed lately that he is quite funny at times, too.
