Yankees won. Hopefully the Sox can keep it up vs Seattle.

Dotel balks in what ends up being the winning run in the top of the tenth. Clemens is still undefeated - the lucky bastard. What sucks is that Carpenter deserved the victory.

Angels bullpen lets them down again.

After blowing the a 3-2, Ramon Ortiz comes in and promptly gives up a leadoff triple (Chicago's second three bagger of the game, mind you)

4 straight losses, 4 straight blown leads.

EDIT: Oh and yes I know the game isn't over, but come on, Ortiz is pitching

All Chicago needs is a fly ball.

Konerko knocks in Uribe and the White Sox win 4-3

My remote is thankful since it probably would have went flying against the wall if the sox blew another chance with the bases loaded

The Twinkees loss gives the Sox a 2 game lead now

Oh yeh, that "overhyped piece of crap pitcher" aka "Dongtrelle" outdueled Glavine, allowing 4 hits and 1 run in seven innings. Not bad

What a day for the Pirates. Mackowiak hits a walk-off Grand Slam in the early game, and a two-run shot in the bottom of the ninth to tie the late game, which the Pirates went on to win in the tenth off Craig Wilson's 11th HR.

Got free tickets in the luxury suite right behind home plate for tomorrow night's game. Check out this matchup:

CHC: Mitre (2-3, 5.82)
PIT: Fogg (2-4, 6.81)

Should be a slugfest.

Just saw this on cbssportsline.com:

"It was an amazing day," said Mackowiak, whose wife gave birth to their first child earlier in the day.

Sweet Jesus. What a day for that man.

Giants win! Bonds with a walk off after Grissom singles in 2.

SF became the first team in the majors to draw a million fans this year. Good to see the "fans" supporting a team through the good and bad.

I'd like to think you'd go to a game to support a team. At least thats why I'd go see a game, first and foremost. Sabean was close to dumping some high salaries to bring in some younger players(Alfonzo, Durham, Rueter). I still think even a Bondsless .400 Giants team would draw 30k+ a night.

The Sox win in the 9th plus those 2 games made for a great night of baseball for me

People bought season tickets and now they're stuck with them. Might as well go, since they paid for the seats.............

Reading the sfgiants forums earlier in the season, numerous ticket holders were threating to sell their season tickets. Shame on them.

*Their attendance is high because they've played more home games than other team.

I hate to tell you, but they don't truly count "attendance" anymore. Attendance has been replaced by "paid" attendance. So the fans may or may not be showing up, but if the ticket was paid for, they get counted.
