I still think he'll stay in Tenn and take a pay cut.

The NFL cares about LA. Does LA care about the NFL?

I don't see there being a huge demand for a running back with a 3.7 ypc average for his career. Overall he has been pretty durable though. I'm sure he won't have a hard time finding a job, but I wouldn't want him as my #1 back.

George was really be pretty crappy for several years now. I'm sure some team will take a chance on him, but virtually no team is actively searching for a running back now. Makes sense just to stay in Tennessee

Yes, he's no longer a decent starter anymore, he just might elect to take a cut and stay in Tenn.

where will eddie george go?

Given his performance the last two years, I say George will go about 2 yards past the line of scrimmage and then fall down.

The Giants seem to be willing to take a chance on washed-up Pro-Bowlers.

more like hit the line of scrimmage and fall down. He's 6'2" so if he just hits the line, falls down and stretches his arms forward, he should get close to 3 yards.

He was on my fantasy team this year. In a 16 team league, I had Priest Holmes & George. George has turned into Rodney Hampton of the Giants. He's takin' such a beatin' over the years that he has zero speed and zero moves. His upright style has finally caught up to him.

Pretty much. However, I won't forget his performance vs the Ravens in the wild card game last year - it was like the Eddie George of 1999.

I could actually see him going to Dallas. Then again, they've done little to improve themselves.

Eddie has some gorgeous ladies that work at his bar and grill. Hmm, it's lunchtime.

Even in that game he wasn't anything special. He had 88 yards on 25 carries. I thought Chris Brown hurt the Ravens a lot more than Eddie George did.

Yeah but that is against an excellent defense. 25 for 88 is a great number considering the opponent. That was the best he ran in over 2 years. Chris Brown was quite effective due in part to the hammering away that George did. Think of it this way - how many backs get 25 carries against the Ravens.

They already signed Troy Hambrick and Amos Zeroue. I doubt they have desire or cap room for another RB.

I always hated in NFL2k1 I think, when you were the titans and you ran eddie george for any type of gain, the crowd would chant "eddie! eddie!"

My bastard friend always picked that team just for that.

I forgot about Hambrick. Give another trophy to Al Davis, we got a star

That's a good point. I think that the type of game that was forced the Titans to run a lot also. The game was close throughout and the Ravens played well against McNair forcing George to have a lot of carries.

I too think he'll end up in Dallas. But Tennesee has a real problem. Chris Brown isn't a starting back, and there aren't any FAs out there to sign. I was shocked they didn't take an RB higher. There were rumors that had Detroit not traded back into R1, they were going to take Kevin Jones. They should have grabbed Greg Jones of FSU in R2 (an Eddie clone). '

Right now, I personally think Tennesee has to figure out a way to keep Eddie for another year.

Eddie can only hurt the Titans IMO. Fisher wont bench him out of loyalty. And over the past few seasons he has performed worse than any other starting RB in the league. His ypc are a full yard below the league average. Chris Brown or any other warm body the Titans can plug in would be an improvement. Last season as great as McNair was he could have been that much better had opposing defense been forced to respect the run at least a little. Instead they dropped everyone back in coverage (the Texans had 7 DBs on the field against Tenn).
