Reports from Cowboy camp say that Julius Jones has been struggling. Parcells does not have the confidence in him to be an every down back. This signing makes sense. Give George 200 carries this year (10-15 a game) with Jones and they should at least be respectable.

IMHO, George is done. He isn't HOF worthy either.

I thought the Cowboys got the wrong Jones on draft day. I guess we'll see who is right in a year or two, me or Bill.

What? There are only two running backs in the history of the NFL to rush for 10,000 yards and not miss a game, one is Jim Brown, the other is Eddie George. Eddie will make the HOF.

I agree with Josh. His 3.7 ypc will keep him out of the HOF. 10,000 yards isn't as big of a deal anymore. I think we'll be seeing plenty of RB's breaking the 10,000 yard mark soon. George is durable, but IMO that doesn't mean he should be in the HOF.

Thanks Zak. An under 4ypc average means that you simply got the ball a ton. This isn't 10 years ago, where if you got 1000 yards in a season, you were a top back. Today, 1000 yards is routine. Eddie did nothing special in my book. He provided some nice moments, but nothing to rank him among the elite.

What's funny is that had he not let his ego get in the way of his ability, he'd have stayed with the Titans and maybe went to the Super Bowl this year. If he HAD, then maybe you could talk about him being HOF worthy. But just like his ypc, he'll come up short.

A 3.2 average for the career that also had more rushing attempts per game average than any other running back. He'll make HOF.

It's not how many rushing attempts a person has, it's what he does with them. HOF, no.
