Tampa Bay has VERY few fans. I went last Wednesday when the Red Sox were in town (Schilling pitching), and there was about 13k and change. 85-90% of them were Sox Fans. I was in right field 4 rows from the railing and the poor Tampa Bay right fielder (Fick) was being heckled all night long. The 3 Rays fans in the area tried to heckle Millar and all the Sox fans shut them down lol.

I remember one of Tampas fans was gettting on Mark Bellhorn. He was acting like a loudmouth even though Tampa was losing.

All the TB fans must be too busy with the hockey.

I'm days behind on this, but...

I see they finally put Bill Mueller on the 15 day DL (retro to 5/20). Hmmmm... Who to add to the fantasy team...

Also, while reviewing folks, this quote caught me as funny:
With star right fielder Sammy Sosa out with back problems, the Cubs' Todd Hollandsworth is set to see increased playing time. He's not, though, going to attempt to be Sammy. "I'm not going to fill Sammy's shoes,'' Hollandsworth told the Chicago Sun-Times. "I'm not going to try to. I just try to go out there and do what I do for this ballclub. I'll try to play smart, play good defense, run the bases well and be productive offensively and try to make the most of the opportunity. That's the way I see it."
It just struck me as funny.

As a Mariners fan, I wish I could say I'm surprised, but I'm not. It is a tough division to begin with, but the biggest problem is that new GM (who should be ex-GM) Bill Bavasi spent money horribly in the offseason. The only way it could have been worse was if Omar Vizquel had passed his physical and that trade had gone through also.

I can't wait to see how he screws things up at the trade deadline...

A little good news/bad news for the Sox:

Good news: Nomar may be heading to the minors to begin a rehab stint next week!

Bad news: That's coming from Sox team doctor, Bill "Kevorkian" Morgan. He's been wrong on his prognosis for Nomar, Trot, Kim, and Mueller so far this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he put a two-week time frame on John F. Kennedy's return in '63.

He could be ready in 3 weeks. Of course, he could be ready in a couple of days, he could be back for opening day, he could be back by May, etc.

Dammit. I just noticed that this'll be one of the first Sox games in weeks not shown on Extra Innings. I started to take them for granted.

So I was reading on the Globe's site that Manny and Pedro are both pushing hard behind the scenes for the Sox to sign Mondesi. That's all well and good, but Trot should be back within a few weeks, and Burks shouldn't be far behind. I appreciate the fact that he would be an upgrade on the bench over McCarty and Kapler, but I'm not so sure about this.

At the very least, he is reportedly extremely self-involved. Probably the last guy Pedro needs to be hanging with right now.

Imagine if some lurker saw your post and became so depressed about not being able to see the Sox tonight, he killed himself. Youre correction doesnt do him much good, does it? DOES IT???

Hopefully, they would be smarter than me and read DarkElf's hard work instead of my nonsense. If not, I'm afraid they don't deserve to live.
