So how 'bout that awesome NL West! All 5 teams are 0 fer their series, and a combined 15 straight losses...

Giants suck right now.

Ray "DL" Durham probably going back on the DL.
Nen should retire and enjoy his 18 million he stole.
Bonds Hurt/Sick/Mourning/Resting 2-24.
Tomko sucks.
Stupid Errors.
Line Drive Basehit outs.
SF #1 in Double Plays.
Lineup/Order constantly changing.
LA losses 3, Giants loss 3.
...

Yet still 8 games out in a weak NL West.

With Leiter scratched, Clemens will face Matt Ginter as he goes for 8-0.

Orioles need to trade for a thirdbaseman(move Mora back to the outfield) and a starting pitcher.

It's 57 degrees in Toronto.

Is that warm enough for Pedro?

God he's such a good hitter. Down in the count 0-2 and he drives that ball right up the middle. I don't think there's a better hitter in baseball.

Low and in, most power guys would have taken a big rip and swung right over it.

Piniero looks good early as he K's the side vs. NY in the first. Any bets on which inning will bring his collapse?

The best part about that Manny AB was that he wasn't too pleased w/ that 2nd strike call. It looked a bit outside. He didn't let that bother him, he just made them pay.

Not that I'm against giving guys a day off, but why would you start Cesar Crespo in right field over Kevin Millar and Gabe Kaplar?

I'm trying not to think about it. Hell, I'm trying not to think about what Crespo has done to earn a start at any position.

The Padres better win today and shut these goddamn Cubs fans up (who only get loud and in your face when they're comfortably ahead).

Is there anything worse than a drunk, obnoxious Cubs fan? Oh, sorry, that's redundant, isn't it...

And then only in San Diego would you go out after the game and hear the DJs and bands WELCOME the Cubs fans. Unbelievable.

Yankee fans are worse, by far.

I don't know. I've been to several NY/Sox games at Fenway and a few Cubs/Stros games at the Dome and Minute Maid, and I've never seen more brazen fans than the Cubs'. Maybe it's because Red Sox fans are less likely to take shit, but the Cubs fans were awful.

Delgado takes Pedro deep for a 2-Run shot. 2-1 Jays.

Orsillo just said that this HR brings Petey to 7, matching his total from all of last year.

See, I don't think so. We hosted the Yankees 2 years ago, and they supported their team quite vocally, which I don't have a problem with at all. They may have a little too much arrogance running through their veins, but they were generally friendly and didn't get in your face nearly as much. Cheer all you want, but don't talk shit and start fights, especially when your team hasn't won a World Series in 96 frigging years.

Friday night was bad enough, but last night we had to deal with the obnoxious Cubs fans AND the obnoxious Lakers fans running around the Gaslamp like they owned the town. Grrrrrr.

Anyway, there's only one way to deal with this and that's to win a damn game! Wells, you better be the man today or else!

It was the exact opposite here. I've never seen any problems when the Cubs come to town. I do distinctly remember several fights and drunken idiots during the 2001 World Series.
