Mad Dawg is on vacation?

I just saw the update in the newspaper. I forgot all about him, but when I first read it, I thought "Who gives a shit?"

Then I decided that the good folks at DVDTalk probably do.

The Sox also recalled Kevin Youkilis (3B) from AAA and he'll start today. Looks like Mueller's knee is still bothering him.

Never fear, I'm still here. But my sense of humor is on vacation this morning as I get ready to go to work all day.

This just in:

All-Star 2B Jose Vidro is staying in Montreal/Puerto Rico/Washington/Portland/Vegas/Monterrey after signing a 4 year/$30M deal.

The New York Yankees, who had been interested in his services, will now focus on aquiring a different second baseman, Barry Bonds.

Nomar, get the hell back. Crespo has no business starting for a major league team.

Ok.... I never done this before, but I desperately needed a W, so I picked up a pitcher just for the day: Chris Carpenter.

So, c'mon Cards and knock Darren Oliver, his 8.04 ERA, and his .357 BAA all over Busch!

Youkilis hits an HR in his second major league AB.

The ground just needs to open up and swallow the Mariners. They've given up another lead to the Yankees, including 2 HRs to A-Rod.

The Mariners put together a nice 3 run inning, and immediately give 2 back on a Matsui HR. Moyer has gone from crafty to crappy.

Bronson Arroyo shows again why he deserves the 5th starter spot more than Kim with 8 scoreless innings. His ERA is now down to three and a half. Foulke finishes it again for a 4-0 Red Sox win over the Blue Jays.

Thank god! Another human being.

Arroyo was excellent, giving up 3 hits with no walks and one HBP. He threw quality pitches for strikes and seemed to get ahead of every hitter.

Yeah, I'm not going to miss Kim anytime soon, who gave up a 3-run shot for the PawSox last night.

Not to jinx it, but it's looking like a helluva pick-up through 6.

Well, barring an unusually clutch bullpen performance by the M's, that lead-off double should cinch the game.
