Haven't seen any discussion about this around here, I am salivating to say the least. I thought Sports Talk would be more appropriate than DVD Talk)

One of the 1990s' most dominant teams, the Chicago Bulls captured a remarkable 6 world championships in an 8 year span (1991-1998). The seamless chemistry between head coach Phil Jackson and superstars Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen converted the once lackluster franchise into a worldwide sensation. Relive the greatest moments from the historic decade, including several of the Bulls' most memorable games.

Actually these have been mentioned in a couple Laker threads (I don't want to search for it now). I first learned about it here. I pre-ordered the Laker set a long time ago.

Almost 16 hours on the Bulls discs'...any full games or just tons and tons of highlights?

This will be something I'll pick up to replace my VHS copies of the Finals clinching games and other memorable games.

I'm definitely getting the Bulls one, maybe the Lakers one too. Hopefully some good prices for them.

Glad to see more and more basketball DVDs being released...

Lakers DVD. Check!

GMLSKIS 05-15-04 01:43 AM

Being a long time Laker fan this is cool but $55.18 at Amazon because of 5 discs and so much content.

Jericho 05-15-04 01:54 AM

Throw in a Clippers one and you can have the whole Ron Harper collection!

Oh what's that you say? The Clippers weren't a dynasty? I think they do have a nice dyanasty of suckitude. Who's can say they've been worse for longer?

Not sure what you are getting at, but go with the Original Post from DDD, where it is 47.51.

Nah, just nothing worth noting ever happens in Cleveland. ROn has wiped those years from his mind :)

Is there a Celtics one?

SomeVoices 05-16-04 11:31 PM

Oh man, I'd been hoping something like this would come out. I'm all over the Bulls one. Thanks for the heads up.

MovieMaster11 05-17-04 01:38 AM

Being the one that originally posted this in the LAkers thread, I can not wait for this. I'm having a hard time finding all the LAkers championship dvd's that have been long out of print. I hope this includes a big chunk on the 3-peat.

cdollaz 05-17-04 12:57 PM

Anyone have a description of what is on these?

MJKTool 05-17-04 01:41 PM

For those who dont want to spend the money, I just noticed Netflix added these DVD's to their upcoming lineup.

Meatpants 06-01-04 03:44 PM

Just a reminder that these were released today, in case you didn't see the thread in DVD Talk. Anyone pick them up yet and check em out?

I'm going to try to pick up the Bulls one tonight at work, I'll post a little something when after I watch it for a bit.

SomeVoices 06-02-04 05:14 PM

I watched Game 5 of the 1997 Finals on the set last night, the one where Jordan had the flu. What a great game. I'm looking forward to watching the other 5 games now, in addition to the highlights from each of the championship seasons.

So...is each disc one game? What extras are on it?

Which Fry's are you referring to? I went to the Industry and left with the Bulls only. I was hoping they would have the Lakers, but no luck.
