St. Louis better avoid the sweep today.

And the Twins will take complete control over first place in the AL Central.

Amazing. Bill Mueller just hit a 2-run shot off of Darrell May. That makes him a career 5-9 with 4 HRs against May.

Yanks and Donovan Osborne get bombed early. 6-0 Seattle in the 2nd, and Osborne's gone after 1 1/3.

And Gagne's pitching. They need to get him some runs.

Jim Tracy is a f'n idiot.

8th inning, 2 outs with the Pirates and the bases are loaded. Dodger relievers walk 5 in a row after two singles and the game ends up tied up.

Why on earth would he *not* bring out his best reliever to end the immediate threat? Managers are way too chickenshit to bring in their closer in the 8th inning these days. Yeesh.

What makes it worse is that he threw Gagne for 2 innings anyway.

True. And since it looks like the Dodgers are gonna win now, he won't get any flack for it either ... well ... except from us.

Me thinks that Jim Tracy also likes to protect Gagne's consecutive saves streak too. How often have you seen Gagne come in with runners already on base?

Last Thursday, the bases were loaded ... and the Dodgers were up by 5 ... and of course, the loaded bases made it a save situation

Haha. You just never see Gagne coming into a game with the tying run already on base. I really do believe Tracy tries to protect Gagne's streak.

Looks like Moyer tried to really rear back and throw a 72 mph fastball by Giambi and it didn't work.
