This year, the Red Sox are hitting .221 with RISP. I didnt hear other teams average, but the Sox have to be near the bottom. I hope Schilling can help the Sox rebound.

How strange is this.

8 teams have records of .600 to .640.

Talk about competitive balance!

Cubs draw first blood. Then the Cards come right back to tie it up. 1-1 end of 3rd.

I'm not near a TV so I'm "watching" it on SportsLine.com. It says Maddux stole second, then went to third on a wild pitch. If anyone's watching/listening, was it a straight up SB to second, or was it a broken up hit-and-run?

I think the old, crazy sonofabitch actually stole second. I didn't hear otherwise on KMOX.

And Pujols actually hit a homer, and Edmonds even got a base hit.

And a Cubs reliever walks Rolen. First walk the Cubs have given up today.

Good win for Maddux and the Cubs today.

As I mentioned in the 5/1 edition of MLB threads, I'll take a split with the Cards at Busch Stadium any day.
