Kentucky Derby Predictions!

Anyone looking forward to the race on Saturday? With so many horses running, I'm not sure about my picks yet. Anyone care to share their bets?

The horse starting out of the 5 hole will win.

You know I saw an Ad for it. I could have sworn they changed the name to "Run for the Roses" due to the state of Kentucky wanting money rights.

Two scratches so far, Wimbledon and St. Averil.

It's tough not to like Smarty Jones since he seems to do nothing but win.

I like vdadlani219's pick except maybe toss out Minister Eric and add Imperialism.

I had liked Borrego as a long shot pick.

Still need some more time to go over this.

I'll go with The Cliff's Edge for now. I need to find good 4 or 5-some to box in a trifecta.

I predict that there will be a guy who is a member of this site will be drunk of his ass during the Derby and at whatever after party he stumbles into. Just call it a strong hunch.

He win's the Arkansas Derby from the outside post, on a sloppy track, running 1 1/8 miles in 1.47 and change, and the television analysts are debating which horse the sloppy track at Churchill favors. Oh my!

Smarty Jones picked-up a cool 6 million (actually 5.8 million dollars) for his owner today. Not a bad day at the office, is it?

I have a prediction, I live 20 minutes from Churchill Downs and I won't know any horses that are running and I will totally ignore the whole thing.

For some reason, the fact that you made this prediction AFTER the Derby ran, strikes me as extremely funny!

Eh... I prefer harness racing, though I wish I could bet on the station wagon!
