Looking for Video of Japanese Defenseman Scoring On Own Net

Anyone see this? It has to be one of the funniest things that I have seen in sports. The video that I saw makes it look like he intentionally scored on his own net, then celebrated, then realized what he had done. It was from a game yesterday, when the Danes beat Japan 4-3, putting them out of the tournament next year as well (B Pool). I read an article somewhere that said he scored while trying to clear it. I want to see it again to see what really happened.

If anyone knows where I can see a copy of it online, please let me know.

At first I thought soccer, but 7 goals in 1 game? Nah.

That's what I was thinking, you being a Newfie and all... but still, I didn't know Japan played hockey. This is ICE hockey, not FIELD hockey we're talking about, right?

Actually he didn't celebrate at all, he was embarrassed as they were close to tying Denmark. Japan scored just after the final buzzer went off on a 6 on 4, 1 second too late.

"Early in the third, the Danes pressed to get the lead and finally got it at 3:09, when Bo Nordby Andersen moved in on goal, faked Fukufuji to take the puck behind the goal line and attempted to pass it to Morten Green, who was standing on top of the crease. Japanese defenseman Nobuhiro Sugawara got to the puck first and misplayed the puck horribly, shooting the puck straight into his own net.

After realizing what he had done, he threw himself straight to the ice, face down, and didn't get up for a full minute. He played sparingly after the goal..."

As far as "It has to be one of the funniest things that I have seen in sports", I'd say Fleury scoring on his own net in the WJs would take that cup.

I saw it again after, and the first video that I saw basically stopped at the point where he had his stick raised, which made it look like (to me anyway) that he was celebrating. When I saw it on a different channel, they ran the whole play, where after the goal he raises his stick to throw it in the air in disgust, and crumble to the ice in despair.

anyone have that soccer clip where there is a guy a goalie kick, and a guy for the other team standing behind him, out of bounds. The goalie puts the ball on the ground, backpedals to kick it, and then the offender runs in front of the goalie and kicks the ball into the goal.

This is at least several years old. One team was wearing black & white striped uniforms

Game winning goal too. I've never seen anyone deliberately shoot it into their own net before. Horribly botched clearance attempts, yes, but that was a definite shot attempt.
